A: Mine are doing the same thing. Charged them overnight and they won't even turn on. The only way I can make them work is connect back to the charge, wait for red light to come on, and then unplug them and turn them on. Sometimes it works on the first try. I shouldn't have to go through all that though.

Great, great, did I mention great sounding....
wow, I am blown away at the great sound these headphones provide. I really enjoy wearing them and they are comfortable as well. Sometimes I just wear them just to block out the sounds of my toddler running around the house banging pots and pans together as I try to do some homework. They fit nicely over my ears and block out nearly all the sound that she makes running around, but the real magic happens when you pair them up via BT and listen to some music. The vocals are very clear and the bass is just right. I found my self noticing certain sounds in songs that I hadn't heard before. Battery life has been great as well. I charged it once and after about 5 hours of music, it is still going strong. I really like the hardbound carrying case that is included with these headphones. I admit, its a little difficult to get them in there, but with some practice, they go in pretty easily, by that I mean you have to fold and twist them just right. The case has markings on how they go in there and there is a little separator piece to protect the ear pieces from banging into each other....another nice touch. JBL has created a great looking, great sounding, great fitting, and all around great package here with these. I look forward to trying them out on my next flight, I suspect they might even sound better than my active noise cancelling headphones that I have used before...even though these don't have noise cancelling in them.

Peak Sound and Incredible Look
I've had my Everest headphones on throughout the last couple of days when I can. If my job allowed me to work and wear headphones i'd do it! These have a snug fit that isn't going to give you headache but feel firm and in place. Aesthetically they look and feel great with their matted tones and the actual headphones have a good weight. The sound reaches that peak sound barrier where you cannot hear any outside sounds. They are super comparable to noise cancelling headphones. I drove to work with them on this morning and I was able to take a call with no worries that I would sound muffled. I'm a huge fan of nature sounds and I have been able to nap with these on and drift off to sleep with thunderstorms playing in my ear. Bass... that bass is amazing. Just jammed to that new DNCE song "Kissing Strangers" and these headphones met my expectations and more. There is also a feature where you can share the music you're listening to in your headphones with another bluetooth set of headphones and that is a perk. When I travel I sometimes want to share my movie with my companion or them with me. I love that JBL offers a feature that doesn't require connectors or wires to share the same sound. Summer road trips with my Everest headphones are going to be a blast. Especially since the headphones come with a fancy leather carrying case and a neon orange wire you will never lose.

Great headphones in a crowded market.
There are 3 main things I look for in a good pair of bluetooth headphones. 1. Do they sound good and does the bluetooth function well with little to no drops in signal? 2. Does the battery life hold up over a long period of time? 3. Are they comfortable and do they fit well? The JBL Everest hits a homerun on the 1st 2 questions but ultimately the comfort and fit level keeps it from being a 5 star pair of headphones. 1. Sound quality: I think the JBL's are a great sounding pair of headphones. The bass is solid and robust, the highs are clear and not washed out and music sounds really crisp and clear. I was really surprised by how well these headphones actually perform. I haven't had a pair of JBL anything in a long time, so it's good to see them putting out a quality product. I think these headphones easily stand up to beats headphones in the same price range. The bluetooth is very consistent as well. I had a range of about 20-30 ft away from my iphone and it still worked just fine. 2. The battery life on the JBl everest's are very solid. It says 20 hours advertised on the box, and I got roughly that after my first charge. I wore them all day for two days straight and by the end of the 2nd day they needed to be charged. It also comes with a nice carrying case and a bright orange charging cable that you would be hard pressed to lose. 3. This is where the JBL ultimately stumbles. Don't get me wrong, they're comfortable and I enjoy listening to them. But I prefer headphones that wrap around your ear instead of laying on them. The padding squishes on my ears and makes them hot after a while which I ultimately either have to adjust or just remove them altogether. I don't have this problem with my Bose noise cancelling and it's one of the main reasons I normally stay away from anything other than those types. Also, to be honest, the headphones look a little goofy on your head. The padding makes them stick out and they aren't nearly as slick or stylish as other brands. But that's a small gripe. If you want good quality bluetooth headphones at an affordable price I definitely recommend the JBL everest. They have solid battery life, good bluetooth range, and quality sound. Great bang for your buck!
