I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've gone years and countless hours downloading music and burning cd's and this has completely changed everything!!!! My car is not equiped with an auxiliary outlet so i've always had to resort to mix cd's but even then you can maybe only fit 20 songs and have to keep changing cd's. So when i got this i was so excited to be able to just use my ipod and listen to ALL my music!!!! SOUND QUALITY IS GREAT!!! I've read some ppl complain about hearing a hissing/buzzing sound, i can sometimes hear that but it's only when nothing is playing. You only get that because the wheels are spinning on the tape (all cassettes are that way). I do hear the controls of my ipod but that's only because it is pulling it straight from the ipod. It plugs into the headphone jack so obviously you will hear your controls, you would hear them if you had headphones on right? It's the same thing. But i have had this now for like 3 months and i still LOVE IT!!! and get excited every time i'm in the car and can just plug my ipod in. And to get the best sound make sure the volume on your ipod/mp3 player is half way up or better and you will get a better sound. i put mine about 3/4 of the way up. i don't have to turn my radio up nearly as loud therefore i get a better sound because it's not so much pressure on my speakers but i can actually listen to music louder then if i was straight listening to my radio or a cd. I 100% give this a 5 star rating!!!! It was a great buy and REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY recommend it if you dont want to hassle with cd's anymore and be able to listen to everything on your ipod. REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS!!!

the cassette method is way better in sound quality than an FM transmitter. The thing is a breeze to set up. However, when the car stereo volume is turned up, I keep hearing a buzzing noise. I barely hear it when the music is consistently loud, but the noise is definitely there. I tried to solve it by cranking up the iPod volume, but past the 3/4's point of iPod's max volume, the music sounds crackly and handles bass poorly. I have a 4RUNNER '03 by the way, and if your car. still has a cassette player, your sound system is probably no better than mine. So the result: the thing works fine if the iPod and the stereo are all at reasonable volumes. There's just this threshold to where you can listen to music without unwanted noises. Also, be careful with your iPod when driving--shuffling through your songs and artists while driving is way more dangerous than texting or talking on the cell phone combined

I use this in my Chevy's cassette deck to hook up my mp3 player, get great sound, better than a tape. Full dimension sound, whether the music is the Stones or Broadway, couldn't be easier to use, better than an RF adapter since there is never competition for a frequency -- and I use it on 400-mile drives along I-95 where there's always some station hitting my freq somewhere, just don't need to worry about hopping to a new channel...

I read the previous 2 reviews which have high ratings on this product. So I expected good audio quality. WOW it sounds better than I expected. Good bass and highs. Buy it. you'll like it!

Overall the product works great. I'm using this device in a 2006 Honda CRV with a factory install radio and an iPod Touch 3G. The device does make an annoying clicking sound as it plays, but you don't usually hear it unless the volume is nearly off or the iPod isn't playing music. It will wash out the bass from your music, but this can be overcome by simply adding bass through the radio controls.
For the price, it is better than any FM transmitter device that I've tried. The only reason I'm not rating this five stars in all categories is because of the bass issue. Unfortunately you can't rate four and a half stars otherwise I would.
Keep in mind that not all radios are the same, so how well the unit works with your radio's cassette player may differ from my experience with it. I tried both the Dynex and Griffin versions of this with my radio and didn't have much luck with them. My experience with those products differed from reviews I read.

A definite "must buy" from BestBuy

Two of our vehicles don't have inputs for mp3 players. We went through several of those devices that are designed to play your mp3 player through you car's stereo system using an unused FM frequency. We never found one that really worked that well. Even if one of them performed satisfactorily, you had to keep changing to another frequency, especially if you were traveling.
I saw this device while searching the BestBuy web site, saw the good reviews, and decided to take a gamble. I am SO glad I did. This thing works like a charm! No more fiddling around with trying to find an unused FM frequency, and the sound quality is excellent!
The only problem is that, since it's been so long since we've used our cars' cassette decks, the cassette deck's capstans squeak a little. However, once the music starts, we can't even hear the squeaking.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

The best cassette adapter out there!!

I've tried lots of cassette adapters: Belkin, Sony, Panasonic, Coby ... and others I've forgotten by now. THIS ONE SOUNDS GREAT -- it contains a little circuitry inside that enhances the music, especially the bass, without cutting the highs. Best sound you can expect from a device of this type, and surprisingly good.
Mechanically sound as well -- the others would stick (and then eject) or squeak annoyingly. This one is almost silent and has never stopped rolling in the cassette player.
I had to replace my first one when the cord got caught in the car door and mangled the plug -- and I went straight for another just like it.
Highly recommended.

This is much better than an FM transmitter, and cheaper too! Hook this up to your iPod or MP3 player and experience clear sound with no interference. The only annoying this is that there is a cord attached. I have tried both, and would never go back to the transmitter.
