I was blown away by the 4K transfer. You wouldn't expect a dark horror movie like Saw to be that good in 4K but it definitely was. In the dark scenes the black levels are great and there is a lot of shadow detail. In the brighter scenes the HDR shines. The 4K also brings a huge increase in detail; you can see every mark and scratch on the traps and every drop of blood. Very crisp clear picture quality. The movie itself is just ok. It's definitely not the best Saw movie--far from it--but it's not the worst either. I just expected more from it. As a sequel it didn't really bring anything new to the table or further the Saw mythology. Definitely worth a watch if your a fan of the other movies.

I would like to start this review off by saying that I have never had a bad experience at any of the Best Buy stores that I visit. I mean sure sometimes the product that I want isn't on the shelf but I ask an associate and they are always more then helpful in getting me the product that I am seeking, which was the case for this. I love the Saw series of movies, I find them creative and disturbing but highly entertaining. This one is no exception to that. I don't want to give the movie away to those that have not seen it, so I guess all I ma going to say is that if you liked the others then your definitely going to like this one.

It was typical Saw, didn’t wrap up in a big way.

Pros: Dolby Vision for my OLED & picture looked striking! Dolby Atmos for my 11.2 (7.2.4) Cool for what it is but nothing special for being the last one, for the second time! Cons: I was expecting like a big finale or special closure to the franchise but fell in the usual pattern. There was some surprises & story twist but not in a big way to close it out. No 3D or Steelcase but no biggy.

Jigsaw is back in a very good way.... As a fan of this franchise these movies never get old, the traps get more intriguing and the guessing game still makes me wonder who did what to get here. I loved that John Kramer loomed over this movie as it made you wonder if the madman was still alive by some miracle and what his intentions this time around. Tobin Bell is so good in this part, his eerie voice and his overall look I just never get tired of seeing him.

This movie serves as both a good sequel and a good beginning to what seems to be a new direction for the SAW films. This is very similar to the original SAW which focused more on being a thriller than a horror film, which is a nice switch of pace. The film looks and sounds great on 4K Ultra HD and as an added bonus all the bonus material on the Blu-Ray is also on the 4K Ultra HD and the full length documentary is worth of the price of the disc alone. If you liked the previous movies you should like this one.

These "Pop Art" steelbooks are very hit or miss, with the majority unfortunately being misses, and this is no different. The image is cluttered & poorly drawn. As a fan of the first 7 movies, I didn't think they could really keep it going, but I'll admit I was wrong. The traps were still creative, the tension palpable, and the biggest glaring plothole was promptly filled with the big twist at the end. I very much enjoyed what they did with this one. I'm glad I got it.

You'd think after 7+ films they'd retire the franchise but this was, surprisingly, a solid reboot of the series. I grow a bit tired of all the "this was really happening during the X movie but we're just now telling you about it" but they make it work and I'm sure we'll have several more movies coming out.

This movie is terrible. It doesn't add to the overall story. As a matter of fact it diminishes it. Admittedly I'm biased, I've seen all the SAW movies. I stopped liking them after the fourth one. That being said John Kramer is one of my top three horror icons. The story should have picked at where Final Chapter left off.
