Perfect for casual use
I bought this unit to replace an old set of powered computer speakers in my workshop that I would connect my iPhone 5c to so I would have music to listen to while I worked. Radio reception in the workshop was bad, and if I ran any battery chargers would be non-existent. I wanted to replace the computer speakers with something that took up less space, and would allow me keep my phone in my pocket rather than exposed on a workbench where it could be knocked off and possibly damaged, or just left behind when I decided to leave the area. I choose these speakers based on price and power output. On both counts this speaker does well. The volume more than fills my work area. If you are going to use this speaker outdoors, keep in mind the volume is probably not going to do well past 10-15 feet, but if you can keep this product that close, it will suffice on an occasional use basis. The last time I used this product outdoors, I did have it running off the battery, which was still going strong after the three hours I was using it. Sound quality is good. Like most Bluetooth connected products though, the sound quality will be better when using the supplied audio cable. I cannot address the speakerphone feature of this product as I have not used it. It does bind quite easily, and have yet not found the need to read the instruction booklet that came with it, the process is so simple. ... Power the unit on, press the "bind" button, and you are done!

Oldaudiophile
I purchased the Rocksteady XS 1.5 speaker from Bestbuy about two months ago and was so impressed with it that I have given it my highest recommendation and decided to write a review. Prior to purchasing this speaker I auditioned every wireless bluetooth speaker that I could find on display. In the price range there is no equal to this speaker. The sound is clearer and more precise than many higher prices speakers, such as the Bose and Jawbones. If you want to spend twice the money, the Beats Pill provides more bass, but I am not sure it is more accurate sound. The speaker can produce plenty of volume with little distortion. Bass performance is the one area where some people may not be satisfied with this speaker. If you like exagerated bass you probably should not be looking at this unit as the bass is more natural. Relative to connectivity, my unit connects to my iphone, ipad and ipod easily and with good range (at least 20 feet). As stated by other reviewers, read the instructions for initial paring to avoid being distressed by what seems like a delay. After initial paring the speaker pares very rapidly. Relative to battery life, on my unit the battery life is excellent. At moderate volume levels it plays for at least 10 hours as advertised, and I have had no problems with the battery holding change for 10 days or more provided the unit is turned off. I have not used the phone feature much, but it works as specified. Overall this is a great battery operated bluetooth speaker.

Not worth your time
The speaker did not work. Got another one and it did not work. Bought a different brand it still works fine.
