KitchenAid double convection wall oven: With 2 spacious 4.3 cu. ft. ovens and Even-Heat True Convection technology, you can quickly and easily cook dinner and dessert for a crowd. A SatinGlide rack in each oven enables easy loading and unloading.
Quickly and thoroughly cook delicious meals
Even-Heat True Convection circulates air for evenly cooked results. Even-Heat technology preheats the oven rapidly.
Works to eliminate tough baked-on spills, so you don't have to.
Provides plenty of space to cook for a large gathering
Spacious 4.3 cu. ft. capacity in the upper and lower ovens accommodates multiple dishes at once.
With intuitive touch controls, this double convection wall ovens unit provides excellent, even heating. My family's especially impressed with the fine baking results. The large windows and very bright interior lighting make it easy to check on progress without having to open the doors.
There are only a few (minor) complaints:
1. when you open either oven door, BOTH oven lights turn on
2. when you use convection modes you are ALWAYS asked two questions: First, do you want to convert the recipe temperature (1 = Yes, 2 = No), and Second, would you like Rapid Preheat. It's tedious to answer, especially because non-convection modes do not ask. Too bad you cannot configure the oven to turn this off.
3. the lowest temperature you can set is 170, which is a little high for plate warming.
On the upside, baking/broiling performance has been great. I haven't used the cleaning cycle yet, but the oven cleans up nicely with just a sponge so far--I guess I'm not very messy!
We just replaced all of our major appliances with stainless steel. We had an older black Kitchenaid 27 inch double oven and replaced it with a new stainless steel Kitchenaid 27 inch double convection oven and it is great. We also replaced our LG black dishwasher (which was very quite but would not dry plastic items in the upper racks because it did not have power drying). This Kitchenaid Dishwasher is just as quite but it will dry everything. Best dishwasher and double oven we have even owned in 50 years. Would have bought a Kitchenaid Refrigerator but the Whirlpool French door 25 sq ft model was half the price and basically the same (Whirlpool builds Kitchenaid).
These ovens are amazing. They come with racks that glide in and out. Nothing like my old oven, where sometimes spills happened just pushing the rack in. The blue interior is wonderfully lit. The ovens have consistent heating temps. I'm still getting used to the many operation choices but I'm getting more proficient quickly. The ability to upper bake and lower broil simultaneously allows for quicker meal preparation. You can use convection cooking and electric cooking independently in each oven. I've wanted double ovens for a long time and I'm very pleased with my KitchenAid selection.
So far, fantastically well! We have been busy trying old recipes and a couple of new ones. For Thanksgiving we roasted a rear pig leg and it turned great. The ovens are very quite and so far everything we have done has turned out nice. One thing that I wish was different, is the Timer Alarm. It is a nice tune, but it is soft and sometimes hard to hear. I haven't look into the manual yet to see if it can be turn up to a higher sound volume. Besides that, so far so great!
A:Answer An installation service is provided through an outside contractor. Best Buy sends an adviser to your home at no charge to measure, in order to estimate what the installation cost will likely be; however, the amount can vary depending on what the installers find after they remove your old ovens. In my case, even though I was replacing an old pair of ovens with the same make, the size of the space required for the new ones was not large enough to accommodate them. The installers charge by how many cuts they need to make. I had to spend more than I expected on the installation, around $350, to enlarge the space by about 1.75" in width and an inch in height. It was expensive, but they did do a very neat job. The new unit is perfectly centered.
