Good Range for the money.

Some poor designs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my range about 3 weeks and it works great. However, since this was a special order, I did not actully see the range until it was delivered and I was somewhat disappointed in the design. For example, they placed the oven vent right in the middle of the back burners! It is a gaping hole about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and has a loose fitted cover over it that just "lays" (does not snap on) on top of the range top. When you clean the top of the range you need to remover the cover or you would probably scratch the range top as it would moved around if you touched it while cleaning (and it's impossible to not touch it while cleaning). In addition, the grates that cover the burners (2 grates) are VERY heavy, and you must be extremely careful not to scratch the surface of the range when removing/replacing them for cleaning the range top. With KitchenAid being Whirpool's higher end appliances, I would have expected a better design.

Beautiful in and out

Besides the stove from Bosch, this was the only one that had the knobs on the front of the unit. We didn't want them on the top in line with the burners. We had to order a seperate piece that goes on the rear, as ours doesn't fully slide in to hit the wall. I have the dishwasher, microwave, and stove all from kitchenaid. They really look great. Many compliments

Excellent Standard Gas Range

I coudn't even bake an entire meal at one time not to mention that in the 3 years we had to repair it twice. GE OUT, Kitchenaid IN and it is fantastic. Heats up faster, burner temp better and oven space is maximized. Love this appliance! I love to cook and this appliance has brought that joy back to my life!
