Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought many low end food processors before and every one has broken with minimal use. So, I sucked it up and bought the Kitchen Aid this time. WOW. My biggest complaint is still the price but wow it works fantastic. The blades are super sharp. The power is strong enough for any job. I have been very, very pleased. I am now looking for reasons to pull out my food processor instead of saying, "It's just a small job... I'll chop it by hand."

Good Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your used to heavy KitchenAid counter appliances, this may disappoint you just a bit. I added this to my collection of: Stand mixer, Coffee maker, and Blender (All KitchenAid). Even though the finish matches he other appliances, the actual food processor body is plastic instead of metal as I would have expected. Still, I have used it several times and find it to have the same high quality. It's easy to clean and very handy.

2x the cost, 1/2 the durability of old Cuisinart
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my basic Cuisinart for 30 years. The cover finally quit latching and I searched the reviews, knowing Cuisinart was no longer the primo processor of old. The Kitchenaid seemed to fit the bill. Pros: The variable slice thickness and reversible grate disc are nice features. The Empire Red matches or coordinates with my other. countertop appliances. Processing is quiet and fast. It's easy to lock the bowl and cover in place. Cons: The push buttons are hard to operate. They don't depress easily, and require more hand strength than seems reasonable. It is difficult to remove the cover when processing is done, and I'm always afraid it will break..The plastic is fragile. I dropped the food pusher right out of the box, and a piece broke off. It still is useable, but it's kind of a bummer. I looked into replacing it, but the part is discontinued. I did buy Geek squad protection, but the way I read it, dropping a part and breaking it is not covered. The pusher on my old processor was virtually indestructible-- hard, opaque, almost rubber-like plastic. I miss it. Worse yet, I managed to insert the pusher backwards once, and it was seriously stuck. I thought all was lost at that point, but my husband managed to dislodge it without breaking the pusher or the cover. The front of the object is slightly curved. The back is straight. It's not all that obvious, at least to me, because it's clear plastic. Since that close call, I've marked the front of the pusher with permanent marker. In a nutshell, it's attractive and does a variety of food proceeds jobs well. If only it didn't feel destined to break, I'd be a satisfied purchaser.

Great buy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previously, I purchased the 3 cup food processor but quickly realized it was just too small. Got a really good deal on this 7 cup one and I'm so glad I upgraded. So far, I've made different kinds of hummus and pico de gallo in record time. Can't wait to see what else this food processor can do. I wish I had purchased it sooner.

A kitchen must have!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for Christmas and I can't believe I got along without it all this time. It made quick work of shredding zucchini and chopping nuts to make a favorite quick bread. I am looking forward to using it often. I cook and bake a lot and I can see how this will greatly help me in the kitchen. It is very sturdy and heavy duty enough to last a long time.

Love this machine!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We previously owned the smaller 3.5 cup processor. It was too small to begin with but we made do. Once it broke, we decided to move to the larger food processor and we are glad we did. This machine chops with ease with no leftover chunks. Its size allows for chopping everything all at once without have to do a few different batches.

Q: QuestionMy processor won't start even after locking the jar
Asked by Maks.
- A:Answer Make sure the base is locked in and the lid has to be lined up correctly with the handle and locked in. I didn't do this when I bought it and took me a while to figured out that was my problem.
