Decent replacement, but not a match
This battery is not quite as expensive as the apple battery, but pay the extra and get the right battery from apple. This battery didn't go in easily, and doesn't fit flush. It never registers a 100% charge.

It works
So far so good. I got mine yesterday and charged it overnight (approx 12 hours). There were no manuals or directions provided but since it is a standard Li-ion battery, I'm assuming it needs to be charged fully before use even though there was enough power to start my laptop. Upon unplugging after charging, I got a 99% battery life remaining. I've used the laptop for basic browsing, iTunes to download a couple of songs, and about an hour of You Tube video browsing. The rest was just the laptop being on standby. I got about 3.5 hours total until I got to about 6% when the laptop shutoff by itself. I charged it again until it was full at 100% and that took about 2 hours. I was a bit skeptical since there were a number of negative reviews about this product and I bought it because of the price and since the price of an OEM Apple battery is over $100. Hopefully this one last since my original battery last me at least 4 years. I bought my Macbook in November of 2008.

Not a good purchase
This battery often does not work. The Mac will often show it as no battery and of course not charge it . At times it works but you can't count on it. I am disappointed. I purposely bought from Best Buy assuming they check their products out. It took a bit for the problem to fully show up. I am hoping I can still return it.
