I got this all-in-one for a new job at work. When my HP all-in-one at home DIED, I immediately rushed over to Best Buy to by another Lenovo. Lenovo - 520-24AST 23.8" Touch-Screen All-In-One - AMD A12-Series - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Black. Yeah, if I had big bucks, I'd buy a I-7 processer, more memory and possibly not an AMD. (Maybe lack of knowledge of how AMD has advanced /bias toward intel). This thing is great. Easy to set up and get running in a couple minutes. I never consulted the instructions..just plug and play. No service call was needed to HP support! (Good thing cuz it's a Lenovo, lol, right?). And yeah I never heard of Lenovo before. That was scary, [I was concerned it would be like an E-machine=junk,imo]. It comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. At home I put it on a tv stand that swivels, Great idea. It was hard to find the DVD player at work...I did NOT know it had one since someone esle bought it and set it up. (DVD player is hidden on the right side) I love having a touch screen (like on the HP). THERE are no set up disks with the unit.Nothing that says official windows...(Maybe they quit doing that). I've used this pc since May 22nd and the second since June 12th...5 weeks and 2 weeks. No complaints. Well I don't like Windows 10. I need to figure out how to get Comcast virus protection for home..(It only comes with a short virus trial). I did look for other options before I purchased this..because the HP was on its last legs...but I did not find any screaming deals/or fantastic reviews. Was actually looking at cool larger curved screens, etc. But when the HP quit..I just went out and bought this nice reliable simple, reasonably inexpensive option. One thing they do not think of, is when you get a set up error, by having a wireless keybaord/mouse, you cannot tell the system any other commands. I keep an old USB keyboard around for those times. Touch screen doesn't work until system boots beyond the startup, either. I love this plain jane basic unit. Nice having the same one as work. I'm not giving up my desktop or all in one soon. I have a laptop...but I like the bigger screens. Would have bought a 32 or 34 inch...if the HP had not died. I love the phone and its aps...But sometimes I want a bigger screen. Great having both.

We discovered that my 6-year-old granddaughter has a learning disability and we needed to get a computer that was simple, had Bluetooth for the mouse and keyboard, with a big touch-screen. I always go first to the Geek Squad to get their onions. I do this because they are the people who work on the product when something goes wrong, so they really know which products are good, and which ones to stay away from. I want to go with a Hewlett Packard All-In-One, but was advise for $100 more the Lenovo - 520-24AST 23.8" was the way to go, especially with the Ram and a 1TB Hard Drive. A MUCH BIGGER BANG FOR THE BUCK. The device was easy to set-up, supper fast, has a quality feel and look, durable, and my granddaughter is doing wonderfully on it. If a 6-year-old can become very competent on this quality computer, you should be “A-Shoe-in”! Could not be happier, and I am a hard grader. PS- It was not a $100 price penalty since with the 30 day guarantee of matching the lowest price, I was able to find a price $75 cheaper and Best Buy credited my account. ALWAYS CHECK YOU PRICES AFTER YOU BUY FROM BEST BUY. I personally have save hundreds of dollars with this simple process.

First of all, let me say that I only bought a new computer because my old one could not upgrade to Windows 10 so all of my browsers and software no longer could update for the past year. And honestly, after having this Lenovo for two days, I dearly MISS my old PC. My old one was a 2009 HP running Windows Vista. Other than having a bad driver on it too, it ran almost perfect compared to this one. First off, it runs slower - it takes twice as long for programs to open. No matter what browser I use, it runs slow. The internet connection is less stable - even though I have my own WiFi router. I am constantly having to disconnect and reconnect. When trying to access the Settings, to personalize everything, it kept freezing up or wouldn't open at all! I kept having to restart it just to do what I wanted to do. Do I know the cause of this poor processing, yes, yes I do. You see, when I first started up the computer, Cortana was turned on and it was the fastest and smoothest operating system I've ever used. I was like WOW! But then.....then I turned off Cortana. After turning it off, that's when the whole computing world changed in my office. Now why did I have to go turning off Cortana? Many reasons. Is it coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. I haven't installed any programs other than Office, so it can't be memory usage so soon in the game. Who knows? I think it is just because this is an economy PC, so it will be iffy on performance. But hey, you get what you can get. If money is not an issue, go for the $800+ models by HP, Samsung, and maybe Dell.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaCentre 520-24 All-In-One system. You mention you installed Microsoft Office. Windows 10 has Microsoft Office 365 already installed as a 30-day trial. To keep this software you only need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed additional Office software on top of the programs already on the system, this could be the cause of the slowness of your system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. lenovo

I purchased the Lenovo 520-24AST computer about six months ago. When I set out to buy a new computer, I originally wanted an HP. However, after I went to the store and played around with the HP it wasn’t that good. I had previously owned a Dell computer which died a few years after I purchased it. Therefore, I really didn’t want to purchase another Dell computer. I started researching the computers offered on bestbuy.com and notice the Lenovo 520-24AST offered what I was looking for in the price range I wanted to spend. The day I went in to purchase my computer there was a sales representative from Lenovo that was in the store. I was able to verify the information I had gathered from my research on this computer. And he gave me a demonstration of how the computer ran. I was impressed. The Best Buy sales representative who was assisting me, also stated he owned a Lenovo computer for eight years and it was still in good running condition. That made me feel confident about purchasing the Lenovo 520-24AST. The computer was easy to setup and I started using it immediately. I am very happy with my purchase and I plan to purchase other items from Lenovo soon.

I wanted to get a larger monitor than my old laptop (15.4") screen provided yet wanted to keep my desktop clear of extra cables and connectors. This AIO came with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I chose to use my old wireless mouse for the feel and function although the one provided did work fine. I had a choice of three AIOs when I went to buy and a ended up with this one due to the non-shiny monitor surface. Upon reviewing my working environment, I realized that although there weren't windows behind me, I would get light reflected back toward the screen which would be a distraction. I had to sacrifice a larger screen for the 24" in this unit but I don't regret the compromise. Lenovo has a deal with Dropbox to aid in the transfer of data from your old computer to this one. I tried moving some files but I realized that my slow internet connection would take me a long time going out to the internet then coming back in for a couple of PCs only feet apart. I used a flash drive for the data that I wanted to move and took this opportunity to clean out files that were no longer used. I have backups if I find that I need them later. The computer is responsive and I am enjoying the bigger display.

First 3 days had issue with the computer automatically shutting down; sometimes re-starting automatically and sometimes not Took the computer back to Best Buy only to be told my options would be to return it for a new one as they didn't want to do a system check to see if there was an easy fix I was finally able to convince the Geek Squad to look at it free of charge and we were ultimately able to determine that the problem was a "when to shutdown" setting. The system shows a standard shutdown time of 10 minutes which Lenovo evidently doesn't adhere to We reset the shutdown time to "Never" and the problem hasn't surfaced again I have other computers, all with Windows 10, and the setting for shutdown is 10 minutes on them all and never had any issues Have since set the shutdown time on all of them to be "Never" Should you buy a Lenovo I would strongly suggest you change your Windows setting to "Never shutdown" as soon as you have updated Windows after purchasing the computer

Absolutely love this system. All it takes for desk space is a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Since it's Wi-Fi I run it off my modem (HughesNet with built in wireless) so the only cord is the power cord. Very nice tidy system. Can only think of two things that would make this a killer setup. First would be if it had Blue Tooth so I could run wireless speakers. I am usually streaming audio to listen to. And second it would be handy if some of the USB ports were in the front for convenience. It's somewhat of a pain to get behind the monitor each time I need to use my jump drive. Neither one would stop me from recommending or purchasing another one. Am not really crazy about Win10 but it's growing on me. I wanted it so I would become familiar with it, otherwise I would have been looking for something I could get Win7 Pro on.

Shawn installed my new Lenovo by me purchasing 200.00 plus 50.00 plan. He was to install, connect printers / scanner all in one, transfer favorites, transfer contacts. NOPE! Sasha came down 2 times and could not get scanner from printer / scanner and printers to work 100%. We do have a back door. I am connected to the wrong modem, the scanner is a pain. I have to use the computer wirelessly to get horrible speed. The old replacement computer is 8 years old and works better than Geek squad's installation. I think that they are going to refund the 250.00 when I hit the store this weekend. I have a totally worthless anchor on my hands. They are truly bad experience.
