A: No, there is no HDMI port on this model. Video ports are: VGA, DisplayPort.
A: I like this laptop but hate the battery; just doing normal email/surfing mine never lasts more than 90 minutes. It helps if you use standby everytime you get up to get a coffee etc and stretch it to 2 hours if you use extreme battery saver- but that does slow it down and hurt my eyes with the reduced contrast on the screen, I wish there was a good battery upgrade/replacement.
