Awesome microwave
||Posted .I love everything about this microwave. Rated excellent by consumer reports I decided to get this one and am glad I did. I like the sensor cooking/reheat option which I have used and it makes my food hot. The fans is great; however, I don't know if i'll ever use the high setting. It really blows a lot of air. Lights good, energy saver option to turn off the clock is great as I already have a clock on the oven below the microwave so I don't need 2. Easy clean interior is great too. I personally don't care about the dark door not being able to see in. I've always opened the door to stir or whatever anyway. I probably won't use the rack but it's nice to have just in case. The installers had to do some light carpentry to get it installed, but that's my cabinets being the issue not the microwave

What's with the disappearing numbers?
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.In terms of performance, very good. The ``cheat sheet'' for settings on the frame are helpful and useful. I miss the express settings -- hitting `1' or `2' for instance for a 1- or 2-minute heating cycle -- on our old GE. One MAJOR concern already, just two weeks into use, is that the numbers on the touchpad are already rubbing off and disappearing. (See photos: the ``2'' is half gone and it's supposed to say ``4 Speed'' under the word Vent.)

No complaints!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.We've had this microwave for a couple of months now and it works great. This microwave is quiet and has a powerful fan (the fan is a little noisy which is to be expected). I love how easy it is to clean, however I do wish it was fingerprint resistant.

||Posted .The LG over the stove microwave is Top Notch quality! Virtually fingerprint proof and never really gets food splashed inside. Easy to clean. With 4 teenage sons, it’s a miracle. Love it!

design flaw, IMO
||Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed.There are some nice features but the reason for my overall 3 star rating is that it comes with a rack which is completely pointless in my opinion. the rack is only a few inches above the rotating tray so you can't set a coffee cup on the tray without removing the rack, which is a big hassle, cause then you take it out, put it back. you can barely set anything under the rack and if you are reheating a plate of food and want to put a cover over it, it won't fit. So I'm mostly using the rack, which then doesn't hold smaller mugs or dishes without them tipping. So then I set them on a plate......

- A:Answer For an external exhaust the vent is located on the back of the top of the microwave to vent out the roof. If you are venting back into the room it appears to come out of the top at the front.

- A:Answer The person might have been referring to the "Extenda Vent" option that LG carries on higher priced models but is not a feature on this unit. That option lets you to pull the vent assembly at the bottom of the unit forward a few inches to allow you to vent more fumes coming from your stove top.

- A:Answer Yes, but it's fairly dim. It's an old-fashioned halogen bulb. I replaced ours pretty much immediately with a brighter LED bulb. It's a standard G8 size.

- A:Answer It's green and I didn't realize that until they were both (new range has green display and microwave is blue display) were installed. Drove me crazy that one display was blue and one was green-at first, but now I don't even notice it. They should have made it consistent but not a big deal now.

- A:Answer The LG - 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless-Steel, LMV2031ST as an Over the Range microwave is designed to be installed in a cabinet opening that has a maximum depth of 13" with an opening width of 30" and a minimum of 30" clearance from the bottom of the cabinet to the cooking surface or countertop before installation. The microwave has a width of 29 15/16" so that there only space left once installed in the appropriately sized cabinet opening, there is a minimal amount of space left that ensures an adequate airflow around the unit. When installed in accordance with the instructions given in the installation manual, there is no need for filler panels which is why none are available...^IFV
