Q: Can this be vented to exhaust outside?
A: Yes, mine is connected to a vent above where there is a six inch hole drilled through the cabinet floor above , and then connected to a vent that goes straight up to the roof. Paul S
Q: Does the microwave vent in the room from the bottom?
A: No, rather, the vents on the bottom are intake vents for the items on the stove. The unit can be adjusted to vent from the rear through duct work in the wall or from the top front. The blower needs to be manually adjusted with the appropriate vent parts redirecting and/or closing the respective openings.
A: 1 through 5 plus half minute.
A: Two bolts screw into the microwave from above. The back base of the microwave has a metal lip running the length of the unit. There is a metal frame that needs to be screwed to the studs in the wall behind the microwave (unseen - very flat). To remove the old microwave, unscrew the two bolts. It will lean forward/down (this is a two person job). Lift it up off the lip and it's free from the wall. You can use the box or styrofoam from the new unit to rest the old unit instead of dropping it on the range. To install the new one, check the included metal frame against the one that is already mounted. If they're the same, tilt the new unit onto the lip of the frame (two people, again). [If not, remove the old frame, and install the new frame INTO THE STUDS]. Once the unit is on the lip solidly, tilt it up and install the bolts from above. You may have to drill a new hole in the bottom of the cabinet over the unit to align with the new bolt location. For me, one aligned perfectly, and the other was off by 1/2inch. Total time was 30-45m. Tools needed were screwdriver, drill, and a wide washer (that 1/2" hole was really close to the old hole) - helped distribute the weight. Seriously - this is an easy thing to do. And before I forget, I DID have to remove the blower motor to exhaust out the top instead of out the back. (Read the manual - see if your current unit exhausts out the top, out the back (into the wall), or into a flue.)
A: No they aren’t. I wish they were.
Q: Does it have a night light underneath the microwave?
A: yes with multiple options of brightness. BUT like most microwave lights it gets very hot after any (15 min) length of use; even on lowest setting. Clearly not an LED light!
A: no, you can hit the "cook time" button and enter the time normally
A: underneath door has a slot to put your fingers

I purchased this LG microwave about a month ago, and we absolutely love it! It heats food quickly and evenly, and the design looks great in our kitchen. The controls are easy to use, and the interior is spacious enough for all our needs. It’s also quieter than our previous microwave, which is a nice bonus. So far, it’s been reliable and works perfectly. Definitely a great purchase—highly recommend!

I just picked this up on Saturday to replace a 3-year old GE Profile - 2.1 Cu. Ft microwave that blew an internal fuse. The fuse was impossible to change unless you removed the microwave from the wall. After reading about this being an ongoing issue for other people, I decided to replace the GE altogether. I am blown away by the quality of this microwave compared to the GE: 1) It was so easy to install I was able to install it myself. (I don't trust Best Buy installers anymore after the last few incidents where they a) caused a flood in my home, they lied about it, and Best Buy insurance company wouldn't make good for it, and b) they tore up the vinyl flooring installing my last fridge) 2) It is much lighter than the GE, so installation was easier. 3) It is not as deep or high as the GE, so it fits over my stove better, so I can see things on my stove better, and more room under it, yet the inside has nearly the same volume 4) The door opens better, closes better, and is lighter than the GE. It is more balanced overall, and the door swings open/closes with a feel of quality. 5) The food cooks more evenly. The difference was night and day between this unit and the GE. 6) It looks better and sharper than the GE, with a glossy black front panel and nice black stainless look. 7) It is actually $85 cheaper than the GE model. 8) The 4-stage fan is more powerful, with a turbo mode that really moves air when you need to. 9) Sensor cooking is easier and works better than the GE Profile. 10) The wi-fi connectivity using the ThinQ app is amazing. Setup was simple. Once you connect with the microwave using the app, your phone tells you when something is cooking, and shows you a countdown of remaining time. There's an option to scan common frozen food packages into the app using your phone's camera to automatically set the cook time. You can set the countdown timer remotely. You can set a night light remotely that turns on/off in the night/morning. You can add this device to your Google home app and turn on the light or fan using your voice. Really quite an amazing app! This microwave makes my kitchen look like it got an upgrade. My experience with this microwave has me rethinking GE products and appliances in lieu of LG. I'll likely move over to 100% LG products eventually.

Very nice microwave. It's very sleeking looking and works great. It's a microwave and it heats food. We don't cook in it and only use reheating food. But it works well and recommend it. But don't use the best buy installers. I had to uninstall it and fix their poor install.
