All the LG Washer/Dryer Combos are Ventless, but if you have the space to stack the units and you already have the necessary connections in place, then by all means, look into getting the stand alone washer with the matching dryer. You will get more options and features on a stand alone dryer than you get on a combo and you can get larger cubic foot capacities, if your space allows, which allows you to do more laundry...^IFV
Q: Can I wash and dry a queen size blanket?

You are already familiar with how much cat fur you have to deal with and it is not the machine that makes the lint, what is caught in the drain pump will be about the same as what you already get in your current machine so knowing that makes it more imperative that you check the drain pump that much more frequently to ensure that the cat fur does not clog the machine. You would probably need to check the drain pump after every wash that has cat fur on it to make sure that it hasn't gotten caught up in the drain pump...^IFV
