Q: does it require an air gap on the countertop?
A: The Top Control Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Dishwasher with QuadWash™, Model # LDT5678ST can be installed to a Disposal without an Air Gap or to a Waste Tee with or without an Air Gap. The installation guide covers both types of installation. Air gaps are the most effective means of preventing your drain from cross-contaminating your dishwasher with waste. If you want to protect your dishwasher from flooding with contaminated water, you need an air gap. Dishwasher air gaps are also required by plumbing codes in many locations, so you will want to check your local building codes or check with your local building inspector to see if it is required in your area...^IFV
Q: The specs on this model signify that it is not fingerprint resistant. Is this true?
A: This is as finger print resistant as it gets.

A: I can be installed either way. It does not come with a cord. Bestbuy sells an installation kit that includes a cord.
