More space. More chilled water. Less fuss. This is the refrigerator you dreamed of with the feature set that matters. Open the wide French Doors to reveal a spacious 29 cu. ft. of storage - now more useful space than ever. Without a bulky ice maker looming on the top shelf, you can truly store more. But you still have the convenience of an in-door water dispenser. And that's more to love, too - this model has LG's largest water container yet. A half gallon of filtered, cool water is ready for guests or busy weekends. You also get LG's latest innovations like the new PrintProof easy-care finish and LG's ThinQ technology, letting you control key refrigerator features from anywhere, at any time, right from your smartphone. It's more to love and more to use every day, with sleek design for years to come.
A: The water is cool but never really as cold as the interior of the refrigerator. It is cooled by passing through a set of coils in the door of the refrigerator. These have a limited capacity, so if one draws too much water from the dispenser (about 1/2 gal, I think) it will no longer even be cool. It has, however, passed through the refrigerator's filter.
Q: Does the front dispense ice too or just water?
A: Only water. Ice maker is in the freezer only. We love this fridge. Not having an ice maker on the door gives a lot more room in the fridge.
A: Yes, the installers will remove and re-mount the doors if necessary to facilitate installing. For other question or concerns regarding delivery or installation, please contact Best Buy customer service at (888) 237-8289. ^Daphane
Q: Does the measurements for the depth of the refrigerator include the coils behind the refrigerator?
A: The depth (36-1/4" with the handles) does not reflect the coils. Allow at least 24 inches (610 mm) in front of the refrigerator to open the doors, and at least 2 inches (50.8 mm) between the back of the refrigerator and the wall. ^Daphane
Q: Does a gallon jug of milk fit in the door shelves?
A: yes ! maybe 2 or 3
A: Yes, the front is magnetic, the sides are too! I wouldn’t have bought it if it wasn’t.
Q: Is the ice made from filtered water?
A: Yes, the ice is filtered. ^Daphane
A: It does make a mess. I try and use a wide mouth vessel when getting water.
