Q: Why does this machine insist on hot water washes for all settings?
A: You have to press the button under the water temp until You get the temperature you want. When you do another cycle it will stay at the temperature you chose for the last cycle. You just need to push the button again until the temperature you want lights up. Hope this helps.
Q: Does this go off balance a lot
A: I experienced this twice already. It happened when the load is full and has beddings and comforter. It doesn't end the spin cycle. It keeps on collecting water and reset the time again. My wash cycle lasted for 3 hours and if I didn't remove the clothes it wouldn't finish. I divided it into 2 loads and run the spin cycle only.
A: L.g. has an option button to add extra water if you see through the glass lid you want more water. You just push the pause button,then you push and hold the extra rinse button until you here it beep. Then push the start button and it will start adding more water.
Q: What makes this washer sense the weight of the load?
A: The method by which the Automatic Load Detection system in the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.9 cu. ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer in White weighs the load is beyond the scope of this forum. Suffice it to say that the Automatic Load Detection system uses sensor equipment and the integrated dampers to weigh the load then use a microcontroller to let the machine know how much water to use for the load. Q: Which of the eight settings has the most aggressive wash and rinse motions?
A: I just brought this washer. It makes a very very loud noise in the wash cycle when washing towels. curious to see the response people p;it out here.
Q: Is this washer large enough to wash a king size washer?
A: Washer buying guides advise that to properly wash a queen-size comforter, you'll need a high-efficiency washing machine (no agitator) with 3.5 cubic feet or more, depending on its fluffy factor (it should fit snugly but without cramming). Jumping up to 5.2 cubic feet will let you wash a king-size comforter and the sheet set all in one load. Although the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.9 cu.ft. MEGA Capacity High Efficiency Top Load Washer, Model # WT5270CW does not have agitator, it does have an impeller which takes up less room than an agitator. It will handle some King Size Comforters depending on their fluffiness...^IFV
Q: Why doesn't the bleach dispenser empty completely?
A: The manual notes that: "It is normal for a small amount of water to remain in the bleach and softener compartments at the end of the cycle." As for "why" it does that, there is no answer, but apparently it is normal.
