I absolutely LOVE this washer! I will admit, I'm old school, I was not excited about going without the agitator or about going to a high efficiency machine because I have heard horror stories! I am so glad that I was able to get past that because this set is wonderful! Myth #1 about the new washers, "You can't add anything to the load once it has started because the lid locks" BUSTED! The start button is also a pause button! Hit pause, the lid unlocks and you can throw in that sock you just found on the floor! Myth #2: "HE Washers take like FOREVER to wash your clothes!" This one is only partially true, yes, it does take longer than the old ones, but the dryer takes half the time thanks to the awesome spin cycle!! I mean the clothes come out nearly dry after the spin! So if you buy the set you will still be doing laundry in pretty much the same amount of time that you did before! Myth #3: "HE Washers don't use enough water!" This one really had me worried, but thanks to LG putting the glass lid on the washer, you can see for yourself that not only do the clothes get wet enough, they really get moved around! I never expected a washer without an agitator to move the clothes around as much as this one does! WOW! Myth #4: "HE Washers just don't clean as well" Yeah, this one is not true either! I mean, we don't roll around in mud every day, we just have normal wear, but our cloths come out clean and super fresh every time! I highly recommend this set! I'm so glad I was able to talk my husband into getting it!

This washer is huge! One concern that I had after reading other reviews was that this washer wouldn't use enough water...I can say that is absolutely not the case on our unit. The clothes are covered and appear to easily move around during agitation. The movement in the basin ranges from very gentle to really aggressive. I've had this for about a month and done all kinds of washes and used most of the settings--all work as advertised, come out smelling fresh all with using very little detergent and just the right amount of water. We have not yet had any balance issues as others have noted. The unit is level and we have run very large loads of towels and blankets without problems. Really happy about this purchase.

This washer has a lot more capacity than our old one. The self-balancing of loads really seems to work. No off-balance halts anymore. It's very quiet. Even the finished alarm is more musical and less obnoxious. Plenty of modes for whites, delicates, etc. It cleans the clothes well. We knew LG made quality products, after having an LG refrigerator for a couple of years. The washer does not disappoint. And, it is efficient enough to qualify for our tough, local water agency $100 rebate!

When reading all of the reviews I was not happy about buying any new machine and it was a very stressful search. I am very happy with this washing machine so far. I have only had it for a couple months however I have a large family and have done at least 60 loads including the King size bedding several times. Some reviews I read complained about soggy cloths, I have not had that experience as of yet. Some reviews claimed it was a loud machine, it is not completely silent however I went from a 15 year old Maytag so this machine is waaaayyy more quiet than that one. So far my cloths have all come out clean smelling fresh and have removed the stains. I was worried I may not be able to open lid and add extra stuff but it has a pause button so that is not a issue. The only reason I gave it a 4 is due to the cleaning cycles being soooo long (about an hour for heavy and 40 min for regular), but from my understanding that is the normal thing no for all new machines with the water saving efficiency. Overall I am very happy so far.

This is a big step up from our 20+ year old Whirlpool. It has a huge capacity, it's very quite, and seems to be pretty efficient with water. It cleans well, and it's easy to pause the cycle and add an item (big plus for us over most of the front loaders).

We prefer the top loader since it is easier to load and does not drip on the floor like front loaders have a tendency to do. This unit is very large and easily can wash bulky items like comforters and mattress covers so no more going to the laundry mat for large items. The window is nice if you like to watch your clothes wash which initially we have done. As others have commented, it does use less water than the older washers but we have found it is more than adequate to get your clothes clean. The length of time it runs does adjust for the size of your load and we have not found it to be any longer than our old washer. It does have many cycle adjustments that can be used but so far we have just us normal and the bulky settings. We have been very please with our purchased.

I was recently looking for a new washer after having a washer technician come to my house to tell me the Whirlpool washer was beyond repair. I looked up LG and saw so many reviews. It was going to be a choice of front load or top load. I chose the later because I'm accustomed to front load washers. This washer is by far the best one I have ever had. It has a lot of washing selections and neat features like quick wash that I use a lot. Also, I do like how the detergent tray is implemented in this unit. Opposed to my old one that had detergent caked up in it and just looked nasty. Overall, this LG washer is quite, quick, and efficient while handling small loads, large loads, and even King size comforters. The drum is stainless steel and has a 10 year warranty on the motor which I love. The see thru glass top is very nice also, which allows you to see how its washing all the clothes. I was skeptical to see if the clothes would all come out clean and they did. LG has a mechanism set up where it rotates the clothes on the bottom to the top and vice versa. Very nice. I would definitely buy another LG washer for sure. For this being my first one, I'm sold.

This washer has everything you'd want in a top loader: -quiet operation -self-balancing/sensing -auto-water leveling It seems weird because the way it fills is only part of the way then load sensing kicks in and adjusts then spins and waters the clothes some more. It's a good way making sure everything is evenly soaked and cleaned. My only complaint is you cant start the fill cycle and leave the lid open. I like to use that water to rinse the detergent cup out but alas, I can't do that. But it's not a deal-breaker. Front loaders don't have that function either, obviously. Clothes definitely seem cleaner than a comparable top loader with agitator. Front loaders wouldn't fit properly in my little laundry room they designed in my house but these are every bit as good.

This washer is great. Its Very Quiet and doesn't vibrate hardly at all. It will take tiny to huge loads and the clothes are all very clean when done. The delivery men called ahead and were polite, quick and answered all my questions. The only two small issues that I can think of are that the tub is very deep and I am very short and the clothes are very wrinkled from the fast spin when done so I just use a hanger to scope out the clothes on the bottom and shake out the clothes or put them in the dryer for a few mins. for the wrinkles before hanging.

I have had my LG top load washer for a couple of months. So far so good! I especially like the see through top where you can view your clothes being washed! My clothes are gently washed and come out clean. The secret is not to use too much detergent! The washer uses less water so with less detergent and less water this adds up to less cost to operate! I paired the washer with the matching dryer and have enjoyed both products.

Great washer. So nice not to hear the washer running while trying to watch tv. Does a good job on getting clothes clean the first time. I recommend using liquid detergent instead of the pods. Sometimes the pods did not dissolve completely and rinse out. No bad smell if you leave the lid shut while not in use like you get on a front load washer.

So far this washer has been very nice replacement from my old small one. That said be sure to use the LEAST amount of soap possible to give you clean clothes because even with HE soap and the extra rinse water option it still left soap in the towels on my first wash! But once I figured the soap amount out its been great I can now wash tons of clothes at once and they come out nearly dry!

Things finally come clean & you can actually see water inside the machine covering the clothes!!! Cycles tend to run long but when finished it usually only takes 15-20 mins or less to dry them. Huge drum capacity & king sized comforter fits with no issues. Was able to wash a single child's shirt too which I was so excited to be able to do since I was afraid that it wouldn't register anything in the drum like my previous HE! This is an excellent washer so far & I've waited to write this review for 3 months just to make sure it wasn't too good to be true! FINALLY A TOP LOADING HE WASHER THAT USES SUFFICIENT WATER AMOUNTS & I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

I love this LG washing machine. It is easy to use, quiet, and has a very large capacity. My clothes are definitely cleaner than they were with my old machine. I will warn you that if you are short, you will probably need a step stool to be able to get the wash out. I am 5'6" and can barely reach the bottom of the machine.

I am very pleased with this top loader washer. I can fit twice as much into it than I could with my front loader. The best thing is that it doesn't have that stinky gasket that you have to constantly clean with a front loader. My clothes spin so dry that my dryer doesn't run that long to dry them. Very happy with it.

We purchased this machine to replace one that was having mechanical problems. I could have repaired the old machines but we were interested in a newer machine with better features, This one is an outstanding replacement for our older washer. Clothes are clean, operation is quiet, and it is fast. Only one complaint, it is difficult for shorter folks like us to remove clothes at the bottom of the washer.

The only reason I'm not giving this machine 5 stars is due to the bleach dispenser. I prefer to add bleach to water in the tub, not via the dispenser. Too often, in previous machines, I've used that dispenser, and then had bleach dispense in other, non-white, loads. The positives though: due to no agitator in the middle, you have a nice big tub, which allows for larger loads; multiple settings that allow for proper washing for a variety of washable items; and music when it first is powered-up and a nice song when the washing ends. :-)
