Q: This dryer has steam setting. Is there a special conccetion needed for it to work?
A: LG 9.0 cu.ft. Mega Capacity TurboSteam™ Electric Dryer w/ On-Door Control Panel, Model # DLEX9000V has a cold water inlet valve in the back that has to be connected to your cold water supply line. It comes with a supplied "Y" connector and 2 hoses that let you share the cold water supply line with your washer...^IFV
A: This product does not have a cold wash as it is a dryer.
Q: Does this have the drying shelf accessory compatibility, for shoes and such?
A: It is an accessory that you can purchase. Got mine at parts-depot.com. Part number AHB73109002. Cost is $44.99 plus applicable shipping and tax. It is out of stock on the LG site
A: No!! duct to a window at least. the air from a dryer exhaust carries alot of heat and particles, even after passing through a lint screen!! Talk to your manager about installing the proper ducting into the wall(to the outside) to vent the dryer properly. Do you not already have a proper washing/drying room in your apartment complex? If your allowed washers and dryers in your apartment then you should have the proper venting for your dryer already installed into the apartment.
A: I have this exact same issue, and unfortunately they cannot be switched. I've been putting all the washed clothes into a basket, sliding it over, and putting it in the dryer. The hose kit that I bought with it is plenty long though so I'm going to swap mine around and lengthen the dryer vent so I can have the washer on the left.
A: This electric dryer requires 240 V power.
Q: will you take old dryer away ?
A: Yes, Best Buy does have a “haul away service”. They will remove the old appliance once your new one has been installed. I believe the cost for removal is $25. Well worth the cost, since you no longer have to worry about the old appliance.
Q: Do you have to get the pedestal for this dryer, or would it be tall enough without it?
A: Depends on your height, I am 6’2”. I like the height of it with the pedestals because of the depth of the drum. I don’t have to bend over as far to reach all the way to the back.
