Your only inputs for this unit are the RCA stereo ports (Red/White) and the Video (Yellow). You cannot convert VHS to MP3 Files or DVD, nor are you able to record TV Programs to the Flash drive...^IFV
A: Please pardon us for the redundancy but as the tile description implies, the LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132 is a DVD player so it is designed to play DVDs. DVD technology is backward compatible so it will also play CDs but cannot play Blu-ray DVDs. The USB Direct Recording function can only record audio tracks from a DVD or CD, it cannot "do timer recording of a TV program"...^IFV

A: No it does not have an HDMI connection. It has a Component connection and comes with a cable. The other connection is USB.
