Logitech - Squeezebox Wireless Controller

can access entire mp3 library from upstairs desktop pc on my downstairs high end stereo system. love the internet radio stations too going from the squeezebox duet via optical audio cable. the software is a little funky. occassionally i need to reset the network settings to factory settings and re-establish the network wep keys, etc. you definitely should have some knowledge with basic wireless networking, etc. i love my squeezebox duet. i now have access to my huge mp3 collection and have found i probably enjoy the various internet radio stations as much as my mp3 collection. it's great. though this is just for the remote control, i don't understand what you'd use the remote control for without the other box.

When first purchased, this was somewhat frustrating as it would drop off the network and take a while to reconnect. The new software solved all of those problems. Tech support was incredibly helpful and repsonsive to setup issues I had. No 2 hour hold for me. I also have a Boom and I love that I can control it from the Controller. I also can log into multiple Pandora acoounts and access my music library very easily. It's awesome! I plan on buying another.

I have had this product for a little over a year now. I will admit that the previous versions of firmware were a bit tricky to both setup and keep operational. However, the latest firmware version update (which was a major update) seems to have corrected all the annoying issues I had previously experienced. For the past 2-3 months, the music player has worked flawlessly and is used quite often. I love the ease of use and availability of streaming Internet audio associated with this product. I plan to add a Squeezebox Boom to my home for multi-room listening.

Great addition to home stereo. Easily stream your MP3 library, Pandora, Internet radio and a few other pay-services (which I dont use). Set up can be a bit of hassle, but once configured I've had relatively few issues. My Zone2 is almost always set to the Squeezebox, since the receiver is out of remote range to adjust the volume or change tracks - having this WiFI no more need to walk into the other room to change volume.

We have the squeezebox and kept reading in the reviews that one of two downsides to the radio is that you need to purchase a remote for the radio separately. I am just about to post my review to that product when I saw this remote listed. Three of us here just expressed disbelief that someone would even buy this. We have Android phones and there is a free Logitech app for the Squeezebox that allows us to: turn it on, adjust the volume, browse and change stations, add favorites, view what's playing (forever ending those "what's this song?" questions!), pause in play, and download apps to the squeezebox. We've even been able to adjust it from off-site, switching the radio stations and generally teasing whoever is at home. Now we're pretty sure there must be an iphone or itouch app available too. Overall, love the Logitech Squeezebox but don't see the need for this if you have a smartphone!

The receiver looses contact and updates just mess everything up. Logitech support has not been helpful and hang up as quick as they answer (after 2 1/2 hours on hold). Save your money.
