A: No, I had to take off the lifeproof case in order use this keyboard case. However this keyboard case we much more beneficial than my lifeproof case. This case has a stand, a keyboard, and a case protector. I am happy with this purchase.

A: It seems like a high tech nylon and is resistant to spills and stains. FYI a, my battery died after 10 weeks and wouldn't last more than a few days with successive charges.

A: Don't know. My battery lasts long, recharges quickly when needed.

A: There is no touch pad or connection for a mouse. It is for typing and you have to use the touch screen of the iPad to navigate similarly like a mouse. There are function keys that are short cuts to some of the tablets functionality including a home key and lock key.

works with the air 2
The keyboard is a great investment to be used with the iPad air investment to be used with the iPad air too. D keyboard and closes the iPad at the top and allows for the bottom to be magnetically attached to the keyboar and allows for the bottom to be magnetically attached to the keyboard. Easily pairs with the iPad and is very comfortable on the lap or on a table and is comfortable for the hands to type. The drawback is the rubber backing has bent at a different angle than originally when it was out of the box but otherwise it has stayed strong and the case is a nice grippy feel so that it doesn't slide out of the hands. The case wraps around the iPad providing 360 degree protection.

Great for the Air 2!
It's perfect since it turns my Air 2 into a small laptop when needed! Love it!
