A: If you want to monitor for facial recognition or license plate legibility you should place the camera about 40 feet away max. You can also have it further away and manually set the PTZ zoom feature specifically on the object you wan't to closely monitor.

A: We can only verify they will work with Lorex 1080p HD DVR recorders.
A: This is a wired analog camera which uses BNC cabling which must be connected to a DVR. You would be able to monitor the camera feed from your iPhone using the Flir Cloud app.
