Absolutely LOVE the fashions-of-the-times details!
MadMen is still my favorite TV drama series - even after all these seasons! I wait til it comes on DVD to watch the episodes because I can't stand waiting a week to find out what happens next. Everything about this series is spot on - it has the look and feel of the 60's especially the changing roles of women and the political scene of the era. Some of the story lines can get a bit (yawn) overused, but mostly I enjoy it. Wish producers still made a full season's worth of episodes, 20-26 instead of the 10-13 they do now, but I guess that's gone the way of the dinosaur.
Mad Men season 6 still has all the characteristics that made the preceding 5 seasons so compelling. The acting, writing, and cast continue to deliver what you'd expect, yet Don Draper et al are changing with the times they are living in. Not to be missed for any MM fan.
This series pays off in so many ways - it is stylish, smart, and nostalgic. The characters have depth and feel like real people. I was just a kid in the 60s, but this show transports me back with every episode. What are you waiting for?
