We bought this for some basic curtain trimming work, and it does its work well. But you cannot expect it to more complicated work, for example, patching your pants with a hole.

I'm still working at it. I'm a starter so I won't rate it too low or too high. I'm trying to change the white thread to a different color. You tube videos are great tutorial.

Couldn't get it to work

My wife tried and tried to get this sewing machine to work for our 7 year old daughter but the thread just kept breaking. She tried adjusting the tension and re-threading multiple times to no avail. We had to end up taking it back.
