Launched in 2011, this design established the trend of paper-thin TV antennas. Universally compatible with all HDTVs, the Mohu Leaf 50 offers the benefits and powerful performance of our notorious design coupled with the Jolt Switch USB in-line amplifier to reach a 60-mile range. Control TV signal amplification in real time with a simple ON/OFF switch. When it’s "on", TV signals are increased for clearer picture and sound, sometimes receiving channels beyond your antenna’s standard range. When it’s "off", amplification is bypassed while TV signals are still filtered from FM and cellular interference. When plugged into your TV’s USB port, the amplifier only draws power when the TV is on, saving energy, or use the included USB power adapter with any standard wall outlet. Perfect for suburban areas, compact living spaces, single-TV homes, dorm rooms, RVs…take this efficient antenna just about anywhere you go. Easy to set up and easy on the eyes. Multi-directional UHF and Hi-VHF elements receive TV signals from both sides, so you can show either side of the black or white reversible design or paint the Leaf antenna for a customized look. Note: The range of this antenna will vary greatly depending on the height, power, and frequency of signals coming from the TV tower, as well as the height of the antenna installation, the terrain, and obstacles between your home and the broadcast towers. Find your TV towers and channels by using our free Antenna Point app on your android or iOS device.
Q: Does it hook up to TV directly or to your wall for other tv's?
A: I have one connected directly to my TV and another connected to where the cable splitter. All my other TV's get clear channels from the one antenna..
Q: Does this device need to be near a window?
A: Nope, mine is right behind the media chest 1 foot off the ground. Picked up 100 channels in Houston.
A: The "floppy flat thing" is the antenna. Mine came with some push pins (there are tiny holes in the top two corners) and velcro stickers for one side of the antenna. You'll need to move the antenna around until you pull in the maximum number of channels in your area. Do a new channel scan every time you move the antenna. The site, www.antennapoint.com, lets you put in your zip code and will show you the location and distance of the TV transmission towers in your area.
A: It should be compatible with any TV that has a coax (antenna) input.
A: You will need to purchase a longer coaxial cable than what is supplied.
Q: can you hook up multiple tv`s to this antenna?
A: Typically the Leaf 50 is not robust enough to support multiple televisions without losing some channels or experiencing pixelation. We generally suggest one antenna per TV.
Q: if i place the antenna on the wall behind my wall mounted tv would i still get a good reception?
A: This antenna seems to work anywhere. I first placed it high above my tv but doesn't look attractive. To conceal, it's now behind my media chest about 1 foot off the ground. Amazingly, signal is strong as my picture is spectacular on local channels
Q: CAN I PUT THIS ANTENNA IN THE GARAGE ATTIC AND GET A GOOD RECEPTION?
A: As long as you live in an area with good access to over the air signals you can put an antenna almost anywhere. As long as your attic has no metal heat shields or a metal roof you should have a great chance at reception.
