A must-see series
Naoki Urasawa's Monster is one of those shows that doesn't get the press it deserves in the States. Urasawa's works are all best-sellers in Japan, and he's truly a master as weaving complex storylines together to create truly masterful works. Some of the English voice actors take a little while to get into their roles, but for enthusiasts, the Japanese language track is always another option. Monster's a psychological drama where nothing falls short of brilliant, and this first boxed set is a great way to capture the beginning of a truly brilliant story.
