Q: Does it protect against lightening? Guaranteed?
A: Definitely.
Q: The plus that goes into the wall, does it go straight in or does it angle down the cable run?
A: It angles down (in the direction of the ground plug). I've attached a picture for reference. (sorry for the bad angle, it was difficult to get to)
