Needed a new phone, and I really liked the moto mods you can buy for it, plus the price match and that bestbuy actually had it in stock really sold me on it. The screen is pretty crisp for shows or movies. I would recommend the speaker mod for a better audio experience. The base speaker isn't horrible, but the jbl mod is really worth it. There are a few downsides to it. One, no headphone jack, so you need a usb c to aux adapter. It came with one, the thing is tiny and easy to loose. Two, no one locally carries this 5 dollar throw away accessory, so your stuck ordering through amazon. This actually astounded me, since every store had plenty of the iphone aux adapter. Three, it comes with all sorts of amazon facebook twitter apps pre loaded that you cant uninstall. I dont use these things, so it just takes up space. Four, cases are lacking. Again, it's been a more or less online amazon only thing. If you do try for a case, watch the back since most of them out there leave the copper connection exposed, kind of asinine.

I think Motorola makes the best budget phones. They seem faster than other makes with similar specs. When it comes to Moto Z line, it can't really compete in design with other flagships, although I prefer fingerprint sensor on the front and I love z2 moto actions which turn this sensor into navigation button removing buttons from the screen. I think it'd be nice if it was part of the screen, like a notch with sides filled with app icons or some status bar info. z2 cons - screen - Shatterproof is not scratchproof, have to have screen protector. Moto should have included screen protectors with the phone!!! I like z droid glass screen better. speakerphone could be louder camera? - not tested yet. Z Droid camera had IS but wasn't comparable to other flagships

Everything you're looking for in a phone and more. One thing that sticks out is the mods you can add on and swap out on the back of the phone. There's battery packs, screen projectors, stereo speaker and even a camera enhancer. Though those are sold separately I recommend looking into them depending on needs or wants. My favorite and never seen before feature is the torch feature in the front of the phone. It's like having your flashlight on the front which helps with darker self pictures and it's not a blinding light. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and can see myself with this phone mods in near future. To me that says alot when you buy more then the basic case and screen protector etc for your phone. This is something of an investment with the mods and it shows longevity.

I did not pay MSRP. In fact I paid only 160 for this phone. So my review for this phone is based on the money I have spent on this phone. And this is unbelievable deal considering the price tag. It has same internal spec as samsung's galaxy s8 but cleaner, near stock OS. So far I did not have any issues with this phone on Sprint. Excellent for this price. One thing I do not like is the plastic screen. But hey I only paid 160 for this.

To be completely Frank. This phone without the mods is ok at best. It's actual functionality is pretty low. There is not a hold lot that it can do. Compaired to the v20 which I can't believe I'm saying. It doesn't even come close to the same category. The screen is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! It may be shatter proof but it sure isn't scratch proof. You breath on it wrong and you will scratch it. Be very careful if you do buy it get a screen protector on it before you even leave the store.

I bought this phone on sale once it was about a year and half old. I was impressed with the quality and it's capabilities. I would put it on par with my previous phone, a galaxy S8 plus except the camera which I like better. Only draw back is battery is kinda of small and no waterproof rating. I didn't ding it any points for that though as it is not advertised as being waterproof.

This phone was a replacement for one that I broke. It fell out of my pocket as I was getting into the car and was pinched in the door. Although there was some circuitry damage, the screen did NOT break. The oporating system and setup was intuitive and friends dly to use. I did find that I couldn't use a glass screen protector and went on a hard search for a plastic one that flexed with the screen.

Great phone- as good as my Galaxy S7, but camera is slightly less effective in dim light. I prefer Z2's pure Android interface. It's simple and clean looking, similar to Apple. This phone , when on sale, could be 1/2 as much as Galaxy-- so yes-- it's a great buy. Battery goes down to 15% by 10pm on a heavy use day. Battery saver mode would help extend things.
