A: We took them apart and put them back together by turning the top a bit to make a different connection.
Q: Does it work if you don't have Alexa?
A: Yes, there is a button on the box that lets you cycle through all of the colors and options. Having Alexa just makes it easier to change without having to continuously get up to psh the button, but no, Alexa is not needed.
A: Lemme guess, firefly? That’s the coolest setting and mine doesn’t work from voice commands either. I just make the selection in the Alexa app and call it a day.
Q: Can I use on my covered deck outside? It would be subjected to some weather…thx
A: Check with the mfgr but I wouldn't take the chance due to it using electricity might be harmed by weather elements. We use ours inside our home to enjoy the beauty of the light show! Hope this helps!

Q: What is the width of this tree, is it super wide at the bottom? Limited space here.
A: It is wide. I will assume about 2 to 2.5 feet in radius, so the base will take around 5 square feet give or take. Sorry, I can not measure it but it is already stored for next year.
Q: How many lights does this tree have and are they multi-colored and do they have any functions?
A: I do not know the exact number of lights but I can tell you there are plenty, you will be happy. The lights are multicolored, you can turn the whole tree green, purple, etc with just a voice command. The lights can also be multicolor and change in different patterns. I think there are about six colors and maybe five patterns which you can use in any way you want.
