Alright MB for Beginners

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5This motherboard helped me with my first computer build and was exactly what I wanted. It is like any other motherboard in the fact that it allows all plug-ins you need to get your computer running. It has an LED light around the border which I don’t like as it is constantly on and only the color red. To disable it, you have to download an MSI application and turn it off. Other than that, it’s a great motherboard.

good board / good price
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendUsed in a new build with a core i78700k, 16 gb of corsair 3.0 ghz ram, corsair liquid cooler, corsair 750watt ps, evga 1070ti gpu, samsung evo 250gb ssd, 1tb toshiba hdd, thermaltake view 21tg case. the board was easy to instal, the included directions and board schematic are clearly written and accurate. Wired everything up, computer booted first time, installed windows 10 and ready to go. No problems since.

Good Motherboard
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendUpgraded from an AMD 990FX board to this because I switched to an intel processor. I got it on special for 110 bucks and it has performed very well so far. I love that it has an M2 slot and will be trying out that very soon.

solid mobo
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a solid mobo for the price. The only complaint I have is that there are not enough USB ports built into the I/O panel (I think 8 should be a standard - even for gaming desktops). Other than that, everything popped in easy and posted among first boot. Works great with i7 8700 and an RTX 2080. I like the non sag metal on the PCI-E slot. Be sure to update bios!

Such a cool board
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOnly red rgb, don’t know why the software tries to change the color, but a great board. It’s a great board if you are not trying to overachieve. With only one m.2 slot, it will go great with optane memory and a hard drive. Fan headers are limited. I found myself left with only one open by using 3 fans and a single radiator. I would use fan splitters or getting a z390 to use more fans and or m.2s.
Q: QuestionThis unit is compatible with the i7 6700k, correct? I ask as most mobos I've found so far are only 8th gen compatible. Thanks in advance.
Asked by GhostFlow3r.
- A:Answer This motherboard will only work with 8th Gen (and 9th Gen CPUs with a BIOS update). The i7-6700K will only work on Z170 or Z270 motherboards.

Q: QuestionSo since the motherboard supports ddr4 ram units, does this mean graphics cards like the gtx 1060 6GB which require ddr5 support, would not be able to be supported by this motherboard?
Asked by SensorSweep.
- A:Answer No. Totally different memory bus. Video Card memory is irrelevant when dealing with RAM.

Q: QuestionIs this M/B a good middle (not low/not high end), for a personal desktop build (with the i5 680-2.8GHz processor)? Also, does this M/B have onboard video (requiring no additional video card for the casual-non gamer-user)? Thank you.
Asked by tonyd.
- A:Answer This is only for 8th gen Intel cpu s

Asked by Bryson.
