    My Bloody Valentine 3D
A psychopathic miner terrorizes the town of Harmony in this retelling of one of the most underrated slasher films of the early '80s with My Bloody Valentine 3-D. 10-years ago, the lone survivor of an accident deep in the mines awoke from a coma and slashed his way through the town in a bloody, vengeance-fueled rampage. Though shot and apparently killed, the memories of Harry Warden still haunt both the town and Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles), the heir to the mine and one of the last people to see Harry before his disappearance. Just as Tom heads back to his hometown after a long time away, so do the killings ramp up again. While he mends his torn relationship with his ex-girlfriend Sarah (Jaime King) and her husband Axl (Kerr Smith), citizens are knocked off one by one in spectacularly gruesome fashion (all presented in 3-D). Has Harry come from beyond the grave or is there a new killer donning the suit and mask? Scream franchise editor Patrick Lussier helms from a script by Zane Smith and Jason X scribe Todd Farmer. Genre veteran Tom Atkins lends his B-movie chops to a supporting character in the Lionsgate production. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

dvd dose not meet seeing it at the movies

I saw this movie on my birthday with a group of friend of mine that are horror fan like myself. Most of of my friends like it but one thought it could have been better in story but he did like the 3D effect a lot.I love the open of this movie and how the 3D effect are in this movie when i saw it in theaters. Now lets get to the dvd .The blue ray sound picture are solid in ever way even the 2d is good. Now with the 3D it is not as great as it is when you saw it at the theaters. The 3D effects are still good but just not as good as when i saw it the first time.I would give the 3D effect a 8 out of 10 and when i saw it at the movie theaters i would give it a 10/10.The great thing about the dvd is they give 4 pair of 3d glasses.I would still say this is a great buy because it is the first good horror flim that they did all the way in 3d.The other good thing about it is they have 2 good acters that were in both thing horror movie/tv shows Kerr Smith and Jensen Ackles. Kerr Smith the acter that was in the first final destination and Jesen Ackles from supernatural.

great remake, better than the origional

      • Top 250 ContributorTop 250 Contributor

this movie is alot better than the origioinal, which was kind of slow paced and a little lacking. the remake is alot better in my opinion just like the remake of halloween compared to the slow origional. the 3d version of the film is really neat, there are some scenes where it feels like you can reach out and touch things. it is amplified with the lights off on a good hd tv screen. my fiance and i enjoyed the movie and some scenes were very cool in 3d. the movie over all was a great remake and is worth buying in my opinion. i also bought the regular 3d dvd as well which i still need to return, this version i saw for 3 bucks more so i got it the same night i bought the regular dvd. since the price difference was only $3 i would rather have the blueray version rather than the regular dvd. great movie, worth purchasing, if you dont buy movies, definatly worth a rental.

Got this movie the day it came out on blu ray 3d dvd. One word describes it "GHOSTING". Its the worst ghosting I have seen yet. Wow, Its hard to watch. I tried the samsund 3d player first, then the ps3. Ghosting in the same places with different machines. I tried picture correction in the 3d options on the tv, that fixed nothing. I did find that if you adjust the view point in the 3d tv options you could hide the ghosting but it would be that paticular instance only. It would be ghosting to the right in one scene and then ghosting to the left on the next scene. I mean bad. Sometimes it looked like you were not even wearing glasses, there would be two of something. I will not let anyone at my house watch this movie in 3d because its embaressing how bad it looks. There are a few scenes that look cool but there are many many more that look bad.

      Good 3-D, average acting

With a movie like My Bloody Valentine 3-D, you know its not going to look as good as it does in theaters and you may think it will horrible because of the red and blue glasses. Well you would be wrong. For starters the 3-D looks great for a DVD and the glasses are light pink and light green so you wouldn't even notice you were wearing them that much. Its acting is average, you have the guy from SUPERNATURAL who did an ok performance. But the movie itself was nothing special and as long as you follow the movie you will have the ending all figured out by the last 30 minutes of the movie. Don't let this stop you from buying it though its a good movie for horror film collectors and the 3-D alone makes the movie worth it. I bought and was impressed with the kill sequences and the 3-D effects amped it up even more. Definetly check it out.

This version is 3D but NOT the 3D Blu-Ray, which I only realized after opening the case. The 3D Blu-Ray is only sold on Best Buy's website, with a noticeable difference in cost. This version comes with 4 pairs of cardboard 3D glasses, so yo don't need a 3D TV or 3D Blu-Ray player to watch it in 3D. The depth is good with a few decent-good pop outs. For me the green/magenta 3D glasses don't work well and ruined the colors, but I've read other reviews saying the same and also others claiming it was good, so results may vary person to person. The movie itself was not scary and for parents it has long pointless nudity. Watching this for the first time it wasn't horrible, only because of the twist ending, but now that I now how it ends, I don't see myself watching it again.

Not that good of a 3D movie

Well i got this movie thinking it would be good, and it sucked as worse movie i have ever seen. It says its 3D but its really not, you would be better off watching it in 2D form on a standard DVD player. On one good side i did get the movie on sale for $10.00 which is cheap, considering how much 3D blu-rays are costing, like $30 to 35.00 dollars which is CRAZY and OVERPRICED for a movie. They should only be around $15 at the most. They have this paticular movie in a 3D blu-ray but it cost $35.00 which is a WASTE of money so DO NOT buy this movie. It has not plot theme whatsoever. In fact i took this movie to Half Price Books store an they only gave me 75 cents for it. I would wait for some better 3D movies to come out like Avatar in 3D when comes out.

It's in 3D and 2D for the DVD

My Bloody Valentine is a remake of a very much underrated horror movie made in 1981. This version changes the story around but makes it, its own movie and is really good. The 3D looks best in theaters which is probably why they put the regular one on the DVD aswell. But this is one of the first movies on DVD to be not only in 3D but look almost as good as it did in theaters (Friday the 13th Part 3). This is one of the best remakes in years and is worth the money. Parents Are Strongly CAUTIONED: This movie is not fit for children under the age of 16 or 17 (but that's just my opinion )

      3D fx is awesome!!

This movie is excellent in 3D! Between the bluray and the HD television it's a great film to watch in 3D. For anyone who's watched Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D on their televisions, this is a huge improvement to the fx used on that. The story itself was entertaining, a bit predictable in parts...but what hasn't been done in a horror film these days? The cast had very good chemistry with one another too, which made the film more enjoyable. All around well worth the purchase for $26.00 on sale, for both the 3D and 2D version along with the digital copy for your pc's...very good buy!!!
