Great first entry into smart hubs!
Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.
I wasn't sure about Google Hub when I first got it. Most of our devices are iOS but we have a lot of smart home features that work well with google.
After having this for over a month now, I love it and would highly recommend it to other people that are looking for a hub for their smart devices. One of my favorite features of this is the photo feature. I can load up an album through google photos and they will continuously rotate through them. For portrait photos, you can have two show side by side instead of having dead space around the photo.
The one feature I haven't found super accurate is sleep tracking. It will give me a summary the next morning and it's almost always lower than how much sleep I actually got. Besides that, I love that I can play music, look at photos, watch shows, and YouTube videos, or even check on my security cameras. Highly would recommend and I'll most likely be getting another one on the other side of my house.
I like this product. It's built well and it looks great. The only thing i don't like is there's not much explanation on how to use it. There's the setup process but then that's it. I have to go to YouTube to find out how to do something. The only other thing is the screen is a bit slow. People have gotten used to the quickness of cell phones and stuff. This has a small delay after you swipe. But it's still a great product and works exactly how i need it to. I use it to show me who's at the door when someone rings the doorbell and that's nice. Now i don't have to run downstairs with a bat every time.

It's cute and I enjoy the fact that it doesn't have a camera. It synced seamlessly and works well with my other devices. It has a decent sound for a bedroom, I wouldn't want to put this in the living room or family room unless you're not using it to play louder music. Overall I debated weather out not I really needed it over just a speaker with better sound but I'm glad I made this purchase
I love my Nest Hub 7" Smart Display with Google Assistant (2nd Gen) so much that I bought a 2nd one for my home office. I even ordered one for my dad for Father's Day. I use the Sleeping app to keep track of how well I am sleeping at night, then review my stats in the morning. I enjoy viewing the changing pictures on the Nest Hub on my desk while I work and listening to soft music. I use it to control my smart light bulbs in all of the rooms in my house. I ask the Google Assistant about the events on my calendar, set reminders, and various questions all day long. Often she has better answers than Alexa. I am still learning all the wonderful things it can do.
Great prodcut if you are into google home eco system. You can easily set alarms, reminders, and look up different things. the speaker is not the best but does the job. I really like the photo slides. Great deal if you buy in sale
I would recommend this to a friend

Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) review: wearable-free sleep tracking smart displayGoogle's second-generation Nest Hub smart display now comes with radar-based sleep tracking as it attempts to keep Amazon's Alexa at bay. The new Nest Hub costs £89.99 on launch, which makes it cheaper than its predecessor and slightly undercuts

Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) review: More for your moneyIf you own a Google smart display, chances are it's the first-generation Nest Hub. There have been others: the Lenovo Smart Display powered by Google Assistant or the pricey, camera-equipped Nest Hub Max. At $130 and often on sale, the smaller

Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) ReviewThe original Nest Hub was a perfectly capable smart display, but as Google's only model at the time, it felt a bit lacking compared with Amazon's much larger Alexa-powered lineup. The second-generation Nest Hub ($99.99) improves upon it
A:AnswerMoatly the soli radar sleep sensor, re-tuned bass for better sound, 3 mics instead of 2, and on board command processing instead of querying the server as much, and internal hub-like network enhancement to allow communication with lights etc if your wifi went out. Sounds like Amazon's sidewalk but google calls it something else. Unclear if processor is new. Beveled edge is cosmetically different. Screen res is the same as gen 1.
A:AnswerI forgot to mention in my previous answer that, no, you don't need any additional equipment. Everything is streamed over the Internet, and played on the built-in speaker. You do have the option of subscribing to TunedIn's premium service, which will have fewer ads and more contents.
Before buying this device, try out TunedIn on your phone, tablet or computer. You can either go to TunedIn's website, or download their app. What you hear is exactly what you'd hear on this device.
A:AnswerNo. Nest Hub (2nd gen) doesn't have a camera. But, it has a Soli sensor for Motion Sense. Motion Sense uses low-energy radar to detect movement like breathing and gestures even without a camera.
A:AnswerYou can upload your photos using a phone/tablet or computer to Google Photos. Take note that Nest Hub displays photos in albums you create in Google Photos. You can log into Google Photos with the same Google account, create albums, and then choose the album in the Google Home app. You can find the details here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9136992
Also, other family members can upload from their respective locations as long as they have an account. You can also invite them to become home members. Check this link for more info: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9155535
A:AnswerAbsolutely! If you have a Netflix subscription, simply link your account in the Google Home app and you can play Netflix movies, TV shows and documentaries by using your voice on Nest Hub.
