Very Powerful Blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nicely and thoughtfully built appliance. The blender itself is very powerful and has no problems with even the most difficult items I've put in it. Ice, frozen fruit, etc. The Auto IQ system is also a great feature. Taking some of the guess work out of the blending. For instance, making a smoothie just involves dropping in the ingredients and hitting the smoothie button (with Auto IQ turned on). It goes through it's various cycles and out comes a perfect smoothie. Another couple things I like are all the attachments and dishwasher safe, and the suction cups on the bottom are very good. It doesn't move at all while running. Pros: Powerful, dishwasher safe attachments, Auto IQ, easy to use Cons: It's loud, but it's a blender, so that's to be expected.

Cooking With Speed !
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Nutri Bowl is a wonderful companion piece to the Ninja BlendMax Duo (Model: BL2013) despite some similarities between the two units. The Nutri Bowl allows for a wider range of uses including settings for dough based recipes, cookies, or chopping vegetables for soups or dips. However, both can be used simultaneously to make smoothes and extract nutrients from fruits and vegetables. Physically, the Nutri Bowl is a little bit smaller and more compact that the BlendMax, though it definitely does not lack in power. At 1200 Watts, the Nutri Bowl speeds through any task you throw at it ! Cooking with speed is definitely an understatement ! Inside the box you will note several different accessories including a 32 and 24 oz ninja cup as well as the bigger Nutri Bowl. These were a personal favorite of ours since they are easy to handle and can be used on the go. Complementing these, you will find a plastic dough blade as well as a quad blade. You will also receive a book of 75 recipes that cover wide variety of foods. It covers all the modes of the Nutri Bowl. On the front of the unit, much like the bigger BlendMax Duo, you will note several modes that are listed in connection with the AutoIQ setting. The AutoIQ setting determines how long each will run; with the setting turned on, each setting will run longer for a more creamy, thinner texture. When the setting is set to no, the results tend to be thicker. There is also a pulse setting that you can manually control. In addition, several of the modes are only available depending on which cup you use. There are small LED lights in the corner of each button to show you which modes are available. As such when you use the 24 or 32 oz cups, only smoothie and extract are allowed. When you use the Nutri Bowl, the Fusion Mix, chop and dough settings are allowed. Their respective times are listed below: Smoothie (Boost Yes): 60 Seconds Smoothie (Boost No): 40 Seconds Extract (Boost Yes): 70 Seconds Extract (Boost No): 45 Seconds Fusion Mix (Boost Yes): 56 Seconds Fusion Mix (Boost No): 20 Seconds Fusion Chop (Boost Yes): 5 Seconds Fusion Chop(Boost No): 3 Seconds Fusion Dough (Boost Yes): 30 Seconds Fusion Dough (Boost No): 15 Seconds For a test with our Nutri Bowl, we made a few milkshakes using the pulse setting. Comparing this with the BlendMax Duo, both of the results were fairly equal in consistency. Perhaps one edge the BlendMax Duo has is that it has 3 manual speed selections (Low, Medium, High) over the Nutri Bowl's only pulse setting. However, this is an hardly an issue as both produced the same results even though the Nutri Bowl is listed at 1200 watts versus the 1600 watts of the BlendMax! Quite amazing ! Another test we did was we decided to make the Lemon Pound Cake found in the included recipe book. This was an amazing first time recipe and I recommend it to everyone. After baking two loafs, we found that once we juiced half of the lemon, it was slightly more than 1/8th of a cup, though depending on the size of the lemon, this will naturally vary so keep that in mind. In addition, for the lemon zest we found that the best amount is about 1 teaspoon. This will prevent you from overdoing it since a little zest goes along way, though you may tweak it to your needs. The Nutri Bowl was able to whip the ingredients really well and was extremely fast. Connectively, once it was done, it was a bit difficult to get all of the mixture off the dough blade but this was just a minor inconvenience. The Lemon Pound cake turned out amazing after about 50 minutes or so. The crack on top gave it a nice homemade appearance! In conclusion, the Nutri Bowl is an amazing companion piece to the BlendMax Duo. With both, you will be able to tackle even the most difficult cooking tasks with ease. However, both are definitely not required. The Nutri Bowl still fulfills most of the tasks needed to create wonderful smoothies and other treats. Washing and storing has been relatively pain free and all the blades and lids are dishwasher safe (top rack only). In the end, I would strongly recommend giving this a shot, especially if you already have the BlendMax Duo or in need of a quality blender for your household.

Versatile and Effective Blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Design: I like the design of this Ninja blender. It has a modern, sleek look with an appealing black and silver finish. The buttons on the base of the blender are clearly labeled with the name of each function, and they are easy to press. In addition, the cord length more than suits my needs based on where I like to place the blender in my kitchen, and the suction cups on the bottom of the blender prevent it from moving while turned on. Regarding the included plastic containers, each is durable but also lightweight. Features: Firstly, the blender comes with four containers, which include: one 4-cup bowl, one 32 oz. cup, and two 24 oz. cups. I have found the 4-cup Nutri Bowl to be especially useful because I like to make a yogurt blend that my whole family can share. Each container seems well-made, so I am not worried about them breaking anytime soon. Additionally, the three cups have lids, which are great to have when you want to transport the drink you have made. I like to take a smoothie with me to work in the morning, so I am glad there are lids included. Also, all the containers are easy to clean. The plastic has not lost its color, and sticky residue is not overly difficult to clean from the cup. Secondly, the Auto-IQ Technology is fantastic. Pausing and pulsing patterns are performed automatically, which is not only convenient but also more effective than manual operation. I enjoy this blender’s ease of use, and it did not take me long to learn what each Auto-IQ program does. Effectiveness: I am very impressed with how well this blender can crush and mix almost any food you put into it, even frozen food. Thanks to the powerful motor and blades, I have been able to achieve very smooth blends every time. As mentioned above, the Auto-IQ technology drastically contributes to the effectiveness of each blend. You can control the texture and consistency, which not every blender is able to do, at least not as well as this Ninja blender. Verdict: If you are looking for a versatile blender that can blend, chop, mix, or even knead dough, this Ninja blender is the one for you. With the sleek design, it looks nice in my kitchen, the features, such as a variety of containers and Auto-IQ technology, are very useful, and it is one of the most effective blenders I have ever used.

blend it up!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past, I didn't use blenders or juicers however, after using the NINJA, I definitely understand how juicing can become a lifestyle. The model I received has the 1500 watt motor, 88 oz blender, 3 bullet cups with lids and a blender attachment for the cups. The blender also comes with a recipe book which has some good recipe's and pointers on what ingredients to use, so make sure take that to the store with you when you shop for ingredients. In my excitement to start making some drinks I spent about 80 bucks on ingredients and started blending. Now to talk about performance. The blender easily chopped through everything to include the ice and frozen fruits. Also depending on which setting I used, the blender was able to independently give me different drink consistencies. overall i like the blender and would recommend it to others.

Wonderful Product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very powerful motor. It handled everything from smoothies, extracting fruit juice and salads to making hummus and pancake batter. There are so many different options with this machine. I find the pulse function very useful for being able to control and not over do it. The suction mount on the bottom truly keeps the machine in place. Very nice looking chrome/black finish yet compact where is does not require a lot of counter space. It does make a lot of noise which I suppose is why it is full of power. Very easy to operate and has become an important tool in the kitchen.

Fun and easy but limited use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I primarily use this Ninja to make single serving smoothies in the morning. I like the included "tritan" cups and drinking lids. I particularly like the 32 ounce cup, which are hard to find. The bowl was merely an afterthought, but I liked using it and made some good food from the included recipe book (which you may not use if you're a cooking guru unlike me). It's also a plus that everything is dishwasher friendly. What you get: - Motor base - Bowl with metal mixing blades and plastic mixing blades (kneading dough) - 2 24 ounce travel cups - 1 32 ounce travel cups - 3 drinking lids - 1 screw on blade base for travel cups Like all Ninja products, everything is made of plastic. But that is no knock, these are made of high quality and sturdy plastics. I also like the black and silver look. There are quite a few buttons on the base (from a guy coming from a blender with Low Med High settings) but they all serve a purpose. As a whole, the whole system looks good. The base is a bit tall, but even with the 32 ounce cup locked into the base for storage (I keep a cup on the base for easy access and to eliminate some clutter in my cabinet) it fit on my counter underneath my cabinets. Using this as I primarily do, making single serve smoothies, this baby is pretty self explanatory. I will say that I am extremely impressed with the blender's capability to pulverize anything. Frozen fruits, nuts, apples all come out smooth and "non lumpy." The bowl on the other hand, took me out of comfort zone. I don't have and have never used a food processor. My guess that this is close to a food processor as you can get. Since I've never used one, I don't know what to do with it offhand, but the included 75 recipe book has lots of fun things to make. I made veggie burgers and quinoa salad and it was awesome. It was really simple to make and use and the finished product is delicious. And dare I say, it was kind of fun. I haven't strayed away from the cookbook, but there's plenty of offerings in there to justify the purchase if you aren't a big cook and want to experiment. What I like most are the various items you can try; there's something different which makes it fun to cook (I'm used to making the same 3 things all the time). Bottom line is, if you are looking for a "nutribullet" this thing can handle anything you throw at it, and if you are interested in venturing outside of your comfort zone and utilizing the bowl to make new and interesting dishes (using the included cookbook) this is a great device to have. Even if you don't use the bowl attachment, this is a great single serve smoothie maker.

Great blender/food processor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great blender/food processor for home use, brings 3 different cup sizes for drinks, iq one touch button makes it very easy to make smoothies with the touch of 1 button, the food processor is great for chopping small amount of food, not great help if you are trying to make large amount of food, for that I would go with a bigger processor, still over all great to have at home or office for a quick smoothie or snack!!

Nutri Ninja NN101
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl DUO Auto-iQ Boost Blender (NN101) comes with a single base, a 4-cup nutri bowl, single 32 ounce cup and two 24 ounce cups and we found it sufficient for out daily use for making food and drinks for ourselves and make quick nutritious blends for our 8 month old baby. The 1200 watt motor is powerful enough to break down the nutrients from all fruits and vegetables and maintain the vitamins and not losing them. The base is very sturdy and does not move at all while being used on the countertop and you do not have to keep holding the top as in traditional blenders. We found the power cable to be long enough for our needs. The labels really pop up with the black and silver classic finish and the different modes do the job as expected. We really like the extract feature to make perfect fruit and vegetable mixed blends for the baby. With the 3 cups for smoothies it makes it easier to blend juices without having to go clean them just because somebody in the family needs other ingredients or has some condition that does not permit particular foods. We found the blades to be very good compared to other blenders and easy to clean. Excellent versatile blender that suits multiple needs in a modern family.

Q: Question...When attempting to make a smoothie by using the single serving container, it has become increasingly difficult to connect the container with the blade cap to the ninja blender itself. It won't "click in" firmly.....anyone else ?...ideas ?....
