Q: how is the batter recharged?
A: You can use the AC Adapter or the USB cable to charge the battery.
A: For selfies? Just flip it up and take selfies as you would on your phone, but this camera even has flash for selfies. It is awesome.
A: The GPS only works when connected to your phone, the camera doesn't have its own GPS. Disconnect from the phone and you don't have GPS.
Q: CAN THIS EASILY UPLOAD ONTO CLOUD?
A: It can very easily upload to a smartphone. I'm not sure about direct to cloud, but when I post to my iPhone it goes straight to my iCloud.
Q: WHAT KIND OF DISK IS USED FOR RETENTION OF PICTURES AND IS A USB CONNECTING CABLE FURNISHED?
A: You will use a SD card for memory of pictures and it will come with a USB connecting cable.
Q: LUX rating and low light ability?
A: This camera performs mediocre in low light setting. Recommend choosing a Nikon instead as they do better under minimal lighting.
A: I have taken mine on several cruises with additional batteries and have had no problems. Enjoy your cruise!
A: There is no sliding cover for the lens. A power button on the top turns it on and off and I believe it will power off on its own after enough time.
