You can take the hair rock guys out of the 80s, but you can't take their 80s styles out of the hair rock guys -- even when they have much shorter hair. If you are a Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob) fan as well as a fan of the singing style of Michael Sweet (Stryper), then this disc may be for you. Honestly, I can't believe my local Best Buy even had this disc on display. Anyway, most tunes seem more Lynch Mob or Dokken-ish than Stryper; however, there are a few Stryper-ish tunes which leads me to believe Michael came to the table with a few of his own guitar riffs. I am happy to say that Sweet doesn't over sing on the disc, which is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to singers with range that don't know when to control themselves (a la Aguilera). Production and mixing are done well. If you are a fan of these gents, then you'll probably enjoy this disc as I do!

Lately Michael Sweet has so much on his plate. First & foremost the incredible comeback of STRYPER & their killer comeback cd "NO MORE HELL TO PAY" . Then an incredible solo cd called ""I`m NOT YOUR SUICIDE". Then a STRYPER LIVE CD. When does he relax...never? This cd reminds you why musicians want to work with him. An incredible voice teamed with an incredible guitar player. No longer is Micheal "that guy in that christian band". STRYPER may be more popular & recognized than ever. Listen to standout tracks like "Dying Rose" and "September"..excellent cd!!

I was always a fan of the bands that both George Lynch and Micheal Sweet came from, Dokken and Stryper respectively. When I saw that they were doing an album together, I was naturally curious. When I bought the album, I was surprised how good it was. There isn't a bad track on this album. Whether you are a fan of 80's hair bands, or the current rock bands, this album is highly recommended.
