I could not love this album more! I have listened to it from front to back now about 10 times ... and it is quite simply the best album these two have ever made. There are melodies, hauntingly sick leads as only George Lynch can deliver, bluesy tracks, love, passion, and everything you would have wanted from these Pillars of Rock. Yes, you can hear Stryper in parts, you can certainly here Dokken in parts. That's what makes this so beautiful. Come on, didn't you ever want to know how amazing Dokken could be if they had a better singer? Or how much better Stryper could be if not held in the confines of forcing every song to deliver enough blatant Christianity so as not to lose their fundamental base? Well, here you go. This is it ... the album of albums. You will love how much you can hear each part fantastically well. The drums are recorded perfectly as you feel the bass drum, not just hear it. You can hear every time Tichy hits the cymbals - oh it's just sooooo good. Tichy is such a masterful timekeeper. The double bass right in the pocket. Bands wish they had someone this in the zone, but they don't. Brian should be talked about among the greats every time they are mentioned. He doesn't take over the song, although he so easily could, he just just lays this seemless, steady, luscious, emotive, and essential drum line. James Lamenzo is so absolutely ROCK solid on the bass lines. He's always moving and accentuating every little inch of each song. This is a bass players delight right here. So nice to have a rock album not afraid to kick that bass up right along with everyone else and not try to hide it. It's beautiful, every note, and run better than the one before. George Lynch ... come on ... George Lynch killed it on this thing. Every lead just sings through each tune. Nothing out of place and hoards of stretches and vibrato that is so signature Lynch. Wait till you hear the song Me Without You and that tap sequence he plays. It's pure silk. Oh, I could just die in that song. Then listen to his scorching riffs in Divine - they are nothing short of the songs title. He plays with so much testosterone in parts it makes you wanna sit up and adjust yourself! The blues, the heart, the ferver ... yes it is all there. And Michael ... what I love about this disk is he doesn't overdo it. Sometimes less is more dude. But, on this disk, tasteful and perfectly executed. I love that in a Rock and Roll album as amazing as this one that you can have a man sing as pure as he does. There is no growl in his voice, which is fine, there is plenty of guitar doing that. I love the harmonies, the melodies, and just the fact that he is singing, not screaming or growling, enhances every fiber of this recording. Seriously, it has been too long since I have had the disk spinning. I am already having withdrawals ... I need to hear Hero-Zero and Only To Rise really badly. And then, Rescue Me slide into Me Without You. This disk is not going to leave my car for months. DANG !!!!!!!! It is off the charts good people. THIS IS A MUST HAVE !

You can take the hair rock guys out of the 80s, but you can't take their 80s styles out of the hair rock guys -- even when they have much shorter hair. If you are a Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob) fan as well as a fan of the singing style of Michael Sweet (Stryper), then this disc may be for you. Honestly, I can't believe my local Best Buy even had this disc on display. Anyway, most tunes seem more Lynch Mob or Dokken-ish than Stryper; however, there are a few Stryper-ish tunes which leads me to believe Michael came to the table with a few of his own guitar riffs. I am happy to say that Sweet doesn't over sing on the disc, which is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to singers with range that don't know when to control themselves (a la Aguilera). Production and mixing are done well. If you are a fan of these gents, then you'll probably enjoy this disc as I do!

Lately Michael Sweet has so much on his plate. First & foremost the incredible comeback of STRYPER & their killer comeback cd "NO MORE HELL TO PAY" . Then an incredible solo cd called ""I`m NOT YOUR SUICIDE". Then a STRYPER LIVE CD. When does he relax...never? This cd reminds you why musicians want to work with him. An incredible voice teamed with an incredible guitar player. No longer is Micheal "that guy in that christian band". STRYPER may be more popular & recognized than ever. Listen to standout tracks like "Dying Rose" and "September"..excellent cd!!

As a huge fan of the old Dokken up through Back for the Attack, the Lynch Mob albums and the old Stryper (before ditching the yellow and black), I thought this might be good. A buddy and I put it to the test, cranking in the car for a road trip. Had to listen to it a second time and decided it was unmemorable. Couple songs have Georges bluesy feel but then that was it. None of the shredding that we were hoping would be there. Michael still has great vocals but again, unmemorable....but this album was a let down.

There is a lot of anticipation when established, successful musicians get together to jam and record new music. This project between Michael Sweet, the voice of Christian Metal Legends, STRYPER and Mr. Scary, himself, George Lynch, of DOKKEN fame, is as expected: Great songs, soaring vocals, shredding guitar. Coupled with awesome production, this is a must for all fans of the LA Metal Scene, both past and present. Killer album!!

I was always a fan of the bands that both George Lynch and Micheal Sweet came from, Dokken and Stryper respectively. When I saw that they were doing an album together, I was naturally curious. When I bought the album, I was surprised how good it was. There isn't a bad track on this album. Whether you are a fan of 80's hair bands, or the current rock bands, this album is highly recommended.

Great rock CD project from George Lynch of Dokken/Lynch Mob fame and Michael Sweet of Stryper, who at one point was tagged to take over as Boston's lead singer. No filler and light on ballads, this album is a throwback to the heyday of melodic hard rock without sounding dated. Anyone interested also should look into the new self-titled release by super-group Revolution Saints.

When I found out that these two musicians were getting together,I was excited.Michael with his great vocals plus George Lynch on guitar are one power combo.Songs on this disc have a tinge of the 80s plus lyrics on current world issues.Possibly being a contender for album of the year. Can't wait for them to tour! Rock on!
