A: Hello. The shadow border around the projected image from the Optoma HD143X and HD27e is inherent to the architecture of the new DMD chip used. It is not noticeable when used with a projection screen with black borders and does not affect picture quality. These projectors display high-quality 1080p images and will perform as expected. Q: Does this run with passive or active shutter glasses
A: This is active shutter glasses.
Q: How well does this projector work outside during the day?
A: Using a projector outdoors is not recommended. 1. Image will be washed out. 2. Excessive heat will cause a thermal event - unit will shut down. Not recommended for outdoor use in the daytime - nighttime is doable and acceptable (no moisture). Thanks.
