A: I do wear hearing aids for mild-moderate hearing loss. I'm functional in that if I don't wear the hearing aids I can talk to a clerk in a store but often have to ask that person to repeat themselves or "yell at me" - especially if they're masked or behind a plexiglass barrier. With that said, I wasn't wearing my hearing aids when I set them up for my in-laws and I didn't have a problem hearing these phones from the handset. Speakerphone from a handset was a little quieter but I didn't check to see if the volume was all the way up. This phone also can apparently connect to some Bluetooth headsets so if you've a headset that works for you, that may be an option. I didn't check that feature - my in-laws are in their 90's and things like Bluetooth devices, cellphones, etc are beyond their capability.

Perfect For Limited Cell Service Areas
Typically Cell service at my home is 1 bar and the actual call experience is less than stellar. Dropped and garbled words make it annoying to impossible to carry on a conversation. This cordless phone solves the issue because it connects using Bluetooth and can pair with 2 different cell phones. Its great, no more awkward speakerphone calls or repititive conversations! I think the key is not needing to touch or move my cell phone around during the call. Its a bonus that it has the intercom feature I remember from old days. The intercom was super helpful when my teen had to isolate.

Excellent Bluetooth with cell phone
I bought this phone to use in an assisted living home where the room had no phone hook up. We set it up to utilize a cell phone by Bluetooth as the phone access. It was not hard to set up and worked well for a person that found cell phone difficult to operate, but was familiar with a cordless phone.
