The special link that joins the chain to the arm of the secondary pedal came apart within the 1st 2 weeks of use. I suspect that the retainer clip was missing or loose from the get-go, and the link finally bent enough to pull apart. Other than this simple issue, the pedal is excellent. Solid feel and smooth action. Many drummers prefer DW pedals, but I keep coming back to Pearl Eliminator pedals as my all time favorites, within my budget. If you can afford them, the Pearl Demon series pedals are the best on the market, in my opinion.
