Works well and excellent picture for price
This DVD player has the picture quality very similar to that of a blue-ray for a fraction of the price. It was very easy to hook-up. Only complaint is that it takes a while to initially open to allow you to insert the disc. It obviously plays DVDs with no problem. Good product for the price.

Perfect item for the price
This is a low-priced DVD player, no bells and whistles, no Blue-Ray, just plays DVDs, but does the job well. As my grandmother used to say, less parts, less parts to break.

Good, inexpensive DVD player.
Have had several Phillips products. All of them have performed well. Very good product line for budget-conscious, as well as anybody who wants good value for the money spent.
