Q: I too have been checking this site frequently to see if the case is available. Good to see Best Buy monitors this and answers questions. (Sarcasm intended)

A: I still have my new phone in the box as I did not want to use it without the case. I have been going into best buy daily for 2 weeks to see if the case had come in or if they could provide an eta as the answers were not posting here on the website. Thanks to a previous post about who makes the case, seidioonline I now have it on the way. I also purchased the clip, extra charging cables, a table dock, a car power adapter. And it came with a FREE magnet mount for the car! Free shipping. I would never have bought elsewhere if best buy had answered previous posts or if the store reps could have provided an eta. They don't seem to care.

Q: How does this compare to the Seidio case for this phone? Thank you!

A: Complete fail...once Platinum case is placed on the phone it will not come off. Buy the one directly from SEIDIO...I did after having the Platinum series forceably removed from my phone and scratched by Best Buy!!!

Q: Will this case work with wireless charging or would the phone need to be removed from the case?

A: If its like the s7 then the wireless charging will work just fine.

Q: Will this case and holster also work with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8? or will Platinum PT come out with one designed for the Note 8?

A: This case is designed for the S8+ and will not work with the S8.

Q: When is this case coming out? I have been checking this site every couple days. They have a wood looking one but who cares about wood. This should have been available at launch like most other cases.

A: It's out already available at Best Buy and comes with a holster but be advised it's hard as heck getting it off once on I recommend prying it off with you nails in the crease if you get it You'll understand hope this helps

This is the case to get
I tried several cases but needed one with a holster badly. I tried the big named one that makes your phone 3 times bigger and it obviously would protect it if a tank ran over it, but it made it way too bulky. I was concerned about the reviews for this case and holster as people were saying it was difficult to remove. I found that by pressing down on the rear of the case near the arrows (where the connection between the top and bottom piece is) it separates relatively easy. Is it still a little hard? Yes, but not impossible. The case protects the top, bottom and rear of the phone well, and the holster is nearly perfect. I recommend this case over more bulky types. Good Shopping!

worth the money
Smartphones are getting more and more expensive, as they assume more importance in our lives. My husband wanted to carry his phone on his belt and I ordered an inexpensive case and holster from Amazon and in the meantime bought him this one. There is a reason some cases are more expensive, and I can see why this one was more expensive than the Amazon one. The clip is very sturdy-I have no doubt it will stand the test of time, and the clip is the weak point in most of these cases. The liner in the holster provides good protection for the phone screen. The phone snaps into the holster and holds very firmly-we literally tried shaking it out and it holds firm.
