Q: Will this work with Android phone?
A: Yes and no. Without some other stuff, most likely no. Yes if you have the following: A USB OTG (on the go) adapter that makes the Android device the host device instead of the client (that's why your Android shows up as a device when you connect it to a computer.) That will also allow you to plug a USB A type device, the one in question, to the USB Micro B port on your phone. Also needed is a file explorer that can "see" external devices and mount them as accessible drives. Some Android devices have this built in. Others may need to be rooted in order for the software needed to do this to be installed and utilized. Fun fact, with the USB OTG adapter, you can plug in a wireless receiver and use a wireless USB keyboard and mouse on your phone!
