I love this HeartRate Monitor because it is very easy to use and it gives accurate information about your workouts! It can tell you how long you burned fat from your workout in addition to how many calories you burned! It also syncs automatically with most cardio equipment to put your reading right on screen to give you accurate tracking of your cardio session.

This product is perfect to wear during my workouts the chest strap is comfortable and easy to adjust. Set up was super simple. You just enter your weight, height and age. Using your heart rate to calculate calories burned and letting you how many minutes you were in the fat burning zone. This is helpful when managing the intensity of your workouts. Love that it tracks workouts that are non walking related. The price is so reasonable compared to the products that take your HR through your wrist. And from the research I did the chest strap is much for accurate. Very happy with my purchase.

I wanted a Polar because I've heard they are one of the most accurate heart rate monitors. I wanted something simple just to use for working out since I already have a Fitbit Charge HR to count my steps, monitor sleep, etc. This model is easy to use. The watch and chest strap are comfortable. I like that it's waterproof. I also like that it keeps a log of your workouts. I would say the cons are: 1. You have to wear the chest strap to get your heart rate. The watch will not detect your heart rate without the chest strap on., 2. The chest strap monitor sometimes moves/stops while I'm running and needs to be readjusted so the watch will start again.

I didn't want to pay hundreds of dollar for a fitness heart rate monitor. I spent about 1/2 hour in the store reading the back of boxes. This had exactly with I needed & price was within my budget. Works like a charm.

Does what it says! Water resistant so it's good for swimming and daily use. Heart rate monitor started out working fine at the beginning but the last two times it's been off a bit. It's effective for what I use it for but next time I'm going for the Bluetooth H7 Smart Heart Rate Sensor so that it syncs with the Polar app on my smartphone.

I did a lot of research before making my purchase. A ton of people recommend the fit bit but that is nothing more than a very over priced pedometer. I wanted something that accurately kept up with calories burned during my workouts. This utilizes a heart rate monitor worn on your chest for the utmost accuracy (your wrist is NOT as accurate) and the monitor is very comfortable, waterproof, and doesn't move. I was a little concerned it would be visible under my clothing but it is not. This particular model stores up to 99 events logged.

I like it works really well helps to keep me on track and works as a reminder to be be more active by showing calories burned however i took off one star because it has a band that goes around your choice in addition to the watch which can be uncomfortable at times i wish it was just the watch but still a great fitness tool

This is my second Polar Watch. I still have my original Polar but it was starting to look a little worn as I would wear it when working outside sometimes.
This watch is easy to set-up and use. After a work out, you can review your stats....average and high heart rate, calories burned, time in the Fitness Zone and time in the Fat Burn Zone.
The one function shows your heart rate and below in a smaller number, the heart rate number you need to achieve to move from the Fat Burn zone to the Fitness zone. I have noticed that is a different number on some workouts. It has been dropping so I am assuming that my heart is getting stronger, which is what I want. Today the heart rate number was 105 beats. It is based on your age and weight. Being over 65.,,,my number would be a lot lower than a 30 year old male. When I start my work-out which now consists of walking and jogging, I push my self to get the heart rate up to the Fitness Zone number.
I have the black and grey model which is very nice looking, too so if you wanted to wear out after the workout for a period of time, you won't have to worry about it not looking right in style.

A:AnswerFT7 is suitable for swimming and it is water resistant as long as buttons are not pressed under water.
FT7 uses GymLink frequency, which can transmit signals also in water.
When measuring heart rate in water, you may experience interference because:
The ECG signal strength is individual and may vary depending on the your tissue composition. Problems occur more frequently when measuring heart rate in water than when measuring is done on land.
Pool water with high chlorine content and seawater are very conductive. Sensor electrodes can short-circuit in these conditions preventing ECG signal detection.
Jumping into water or strenuous muscle movement during competitive swimming may shift the sensor on your body where ECG signals aren't detected.
If you swim in salt water or highly chlorinated water, or have repeated challenges measuring heart rate for swimming, consider using the T31c heart rate sensor.e
A:AnswerDavid -Yes, you can use both the watch and chest strap in the water. When using it in the water, you'll want to pull the chest strap tighter to the body to help minimize the volume of water that gets between you and the strap - Mike @ Polar USA
A:AnswerThe FT7 does not have interval timers. Depending on your needs, I might recommend either Polar's A300 or M400 models. Both of these units will offer the user to create phased interval workouts (via Polar's 'Flow' web service). - Mike @ Polar USA
A:AnswerNo, the chest strap that comes with the FT7 does not communicate on Bluetooth. You do have an option of securing the 'H7' heart rate sensor as a separate accessory and use it with both the FT7 watch and a app running at the same time on your phone - Mike @ Polar USA
A:AnswerTommy - The FT series has a feature dubbed 'heart touch' that allows users to automatically see the time of day by bringing the watch next to the heart rate sensor being worn around the chest. If you want the ability to customize the display where the time of day is visible all the time with the heart rate, then I would recommend the M400. It gives the user the ability to edit what is displayed to your needs - Mike @ Polar USA
