Q: Is this turntable fully automatic? does it start/end a record by itself?
A: No you manually place and remove the arm.
A: Both ends are removable. About 3 feet. Are RCA connectors, and the included cable has a ground connector.
A: Hi Rick, you should use a specific power cord, reach out to us at https://victrola.com/pages/contact-us and we'll get you taken care of.
Q: Which cartridge is included with this turntable?
A: Ortofon OM10 was supposed to come with mine, but I bought it open box for a large discount and it was missing so I installed the Ortofon Super OM20. Sounds so great, you can really tell the difference of quality on pressings, recordings, and condition. All of the frequencies are cleanly picked up.
Q: Does the Pro-Ject Essential III Phono have preamp? Does it work well with Sonos?
A: No it does not have a pre amp
A: This turntable has no preamp nor amp in it. Pro-Ject does make a model, called The Jukebox, that has a built in amplifier. With it, you can not only play vinyl, but it also has bluetooth in, so you can stream from your phone or computer (think iTunes, Spotify etc) and it sports an additional analog input too (think for gaming system or TV sound. Cool! Just connect speakers! https://www.pro-jectusa.com/en-us/products/pro-ject-analog/juke-box-line/juke-box-e
