    Quell releived my pain

    Posted

I’ve been physically active all my life and as a result, I now live with chronic lower back pain. I've gone the route of chiropractors, deep tissue massage and acupuncture, all were helpful and all were short lived . They required continued visits as well as ongoing expense. I've also done the over the counter and prescribed pain relievers with little success too. One day I saw a commercial about this Quell product, claiming to help provide relief to people with chronic pain when you wear the device. I became curious, so I did some research and found that based on the technology used, the devise helps to alleviate the pain in specific problem area, helping you become more functional in day to day. So I decided to take the plunge, especially in light of the 60 day money back guarantee…what did I have to lose? I’m now into my second month, using Quell and I have to say it’s working. After the first week, I noticed mornings where I used to wake-up with a nagging stiff lower back, the Quell devise pretty much relieved the chronic pain due from stiffness, and now as a result, I feel more confident in what I can do in everyday activities. Quell gets my vote and if it doesn’t provide you with relief within 60 days, you can return. You got nothing to lose!

I like my Quell & I think it would definitely help my pain BUT, the electrode strips are a pain. They constantly come unsnapped. So either you have to completely pull the whole thing off, cover the gel pads, & start over or reach down & try to resnap it by pressing on the gel pad, which ruins the gel. Either way, it shortens the lifespan of the gel pad electrodes. The gel melts, so the unit slides down your leg (at least here in the Texas heat). It won't stay in place while I sleep, so I never get my Sleep Tracker Information. The electrode pads need to be completely redesigned & the wrap also could be better. I was delighted with this product in the beginning, but with only getting a couple days use out of 1-$15 gel pad instead of 2 weeks, my $250 unit now sits there gathering dust-useless.

We appreciate your feedback about the electrodes. We are continually working on improvements to our technology, and customer feedback is very important to that process. In response to customer feedback, we have just implemented a 1st round of improvements to the sports band design. It now includes a tapered Velcro tab to minimize peeling during use and a new grip strip to help keep the Quell device securely in the pocket. Blue sports bands are now available at a reduced price of $14.95. If you find that your electrodes are not holding up due to excess heat and humidity, you may want to try the Quell Sport Electrodes. They are designed to be moisture resistant, making them ideal for users living in hot, humid climates. Quell

I have been wearing the Quell device for over a month and I saw immediate results when I started using it. I suffer from Osteoarthritis in both knees, right hip and back, which I was taking up 30MG of Vicodin a day to manage my pain. With this device I'm no longer dependent on the pain medication, and have cut my usage from the 30MG down to maybe 5MG once in a great while. The device is fairly easy to use and I have installed the app for the management of the device, which I found easy to use. The Device is great if you are in constant pain and would like to take your life back from the pain medication.

With a torn patella tendon and arthritis setting in, this thing helped a ton. I hate needles and I’m tired of taking pain meds on a routine basis... then I found this and it proved to take most of the pain away at a medium setting. The only part I don’t like is having two pads lasting only one month. The gel can slide off the electrode and give a minor shock to the skin but you can take the device off and carefully adjust the gel. But by the end of one week the gel is so dispersed that they almost touch eachother. I’ll try the sport pads next to see what additional comfort they provide.

    Didn’t work for me

Having some back issues, I decided to try. It didn’t work for me. But, the app was great, and everything was exactly as advertised for setup and ease of use. But, I just didn’t get any sort of anything from it except for a an adjustable TENS buzz & leg rash from the adhesive on the contacts. In fact, I got rashes on both legs as I changed to the other leg as the first got irritated. Not for me; It may work for some but not sure how. Like using a TENS unit on my leg. But, my leg isn’t the issue. However, Best Buy was fantastic with the return. Absolutely zero hassle after 2+ weeks of use! Good job Best Buy!

We’re sorry to hear that Quell didn’t provide you with relief, but thank you for providing your feedback. For some users, it can take several weeks of regular use, wearing Quell for a minimum of three therapy sessions per day at a strong, but comfortable intensity before noticing a difference. Unfortunately, no treatment modality will work for everyone, which is why we offer the 60 day money back guarantee so you can try risk-free. Thank you for trying the product. Quell

I stumbled upon this device looking for alternative pain relief. I had never heard of it before and search other sites and read reviews from other users and thought it was worth a try to see if it would relieve my joint pain. The fact that it is FSA eligible was also helpful. I did see an improvement in my pain, but the pain did not completely go away. It does help me to be more mobile, but I do have issues with the electrodes/band sliding down my leg when walking. I am a plus size woman, so having a larger leg might be the reason. Overall, it's a good device and it helps. I told my sister about it and she bought one too.

A great device as it has reduced my pain a lot. Initially, I was skeptical, but with Best Buy's return policy and Quell's return policy, I figure it was worth the Gamble. Let's just say, that 4 weeks of consistent use I am glad I have purchased the device. Am I pain-free? No, but I feel much better, and both my physical therapist and doctor agrees it was a good purchase. My only complaint is the electrodes, which will wear out, but that is to be expected when working on our bodies.

Each individual Quell electrode is designed to last approximately 2 weeks for a typical user, although that time may vary depending on frequency and intensity of use. Please don’t hesitate to contact our Boston-based Customer Care team for recommendations on how to get more out of your electrodes or to find out whether Sport electrodes may be a better option for you. You will find Electrode Care Tips in the Support section of our website. Please note that electrodes are safe to use as long as therapy feels comfortable and you're not seeing an orange light on the device. Quell

Horrible design, keeps popping off & therapy stops

This was designed horribly. The unit snaps on the eletrodes with 2 snaps which constantly pop off with the slightest movement. There is absolutely no way someone can sleep with this because of how easily it falls off. Then of course the thearpy session stops because there is no contact and when you put it back into place, the session starts from the beginning. After snapping it back into place a dozen times, I gave up and took it back to the store for a refund. Not worth it.
