I think the speed issues mentioned in some reviews are because they got lemons and should return theirs for a fresh one. I wouldn't expect a tablet/laptop of this caliber to run very demanding programs but these Atom Cherry Trail chips are quite peppy. I suggest looking up a review of a laptop with the same Intel Atom X5-Z8300 processor to see how it could run.
