In Windows, you can tell the computer where new data/photos/applications, etc., are installed. Search the settings (after you have installed an SD card) and then there is a drop down in settings where you can choose where all new things get downloaded and saved - also, when installing new applications, you can create a folder on the SD Card (e.g., Program Files_SD, SD_Programs, etc.) on the card and when asked to install a new program, choose that folder. This might mean you have to uninstall and re-install programs you've already added to the C drive, though.
