A:AnswerHello Best Buy customer pappy and thank you for asking this question as the Microsoft Windows 10 OS (i.e., operating system) is sure a joy to use--particularly with the addition of the Cortana search bar option! One of the answers given to your question indicated that you would need to purchase Microsoft Office; however, I don't! I, personally, use the free/no-cost software referred to as Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5. There are also other "free" options which have lots of functionality such as LibreOffice. To download Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5 on Windows 10: Enter www.openoffice.org => click “I want to download Apache OpenOffice” => select your operating system [i.e., Windows (EXE)] => select “English” (i.e., if that's your language of choice) => click “download full installation” => a “new” window will open & the download will begin => click “OPEN” => see “new” window that asks “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes…” => click “yes”=> the next window says “welcome” & click “next” => on the “choose install location” choose “desktop” => click “install” => see “preparing to install” => see “welcome to the installation wizard for OpenOffice 4.1.5” => click “next” => for customizer information page, enter "your brand name of computer" for user name => Finish => see “Installation Wizard completed” => click “finish.” The aforementioned instructions "may" not be all inclusive and always be certain during the installation process that you don't introduce any computer virus and that the "source" of the download you select is from a "genuine" source. I hope that this gives you and others a less expensive opportunity to experience things like typing documents and Excel-type operations, etc. Best Buy customer pappy.
A:AnswerThis computer comes with Webroot Internet Security + Antivirus 2018 (3-Device) (6 Month Subscription) for Anti-Virus.
It does not include Office 365, but you can purchase it with a $20 discount if you get it with the computer. The price will be $49 for Personal (1 user, regular $69) or $79 for Home (up to 6 users, regular $99).
A:Answer1 year subscription was 49.99 with computer purchase at Best Buy. 69.99 normally. I would recommend the annual purchase, as each year you get all the updates.

A:AnswerThank you for reaching out. The stereo mix is still present, you will want to make sure all hidden devices are shown in the recording properties.
A:AnswerI use the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro) and they work wonderfully. Sometimes Premier can run a little slow, but it has a big job to do when rendering the video.
A:AnswerHello Best Buy customer Cole and thank you for asking this question as a somewhat detailed answer might help a lot of other people out there who want to experience a lot of long term enjoyment from watching videos on YouTube.com, Bing.com, etc. The answer to your question is => You sure can! However, if you want a real superior video viewing experience and you are willing and able to do so you (and others!) can connect this great laptop to any television that has an HDMI port. Simply connect the HDMI cable from the television into this laptop's HDMI port and then go into your computer's display settings and select "112" for display "type" and then under scale and layout select "100% (recommended)" and then for resolution select "1366 X 768 (recommended)" and then for multiple displays select "duplicate these settings. To have it so all of the computer's icons fit on the TV screen which are located on the lower task bar and in the left vertical column of the desktop saver screen if you have an "Insignia Brand" TV click onto the TV's menu button and go into the picture column and then scroll down to "advanced settings" and then set the TV's "OVERSCAN" feature to OFF! For other brands of televisions they "may" refer to this "OVERSCAN" feature by a different name so you might want to ask their tech support team how to address this issue so that all of your icons "fit" on the television screen so that you can use your brand of TV as a PC monitor. Try and connect your HDMI cable into the HDMI ARC1 port if your TV has one (like the Insignia TV's which I've seen have) and this way you can control the volume of the PC and TV together. I always leave my laptop volume at 100% when I have it connected to my TV. I wish you hours of enjoyment Cole with this type of connection as viewing your YouTube videos, etc. on your "larger screen" TV will enhance your program viewing experience--as you and others can imagine! Oh, we can't forget about school work! I believe that this laptop would really be great for school work also Cole as search engines like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Bing, etc. will take you just about anywhere in terms of your fact finding missions. In addition, if you go on YouTube.com and other sources you can learn how to download programs such as Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5. (the "current" version) and with this tool you can type your research papers and other documents and do other things which require Excel-type functionality, etc.
A:AnswerI am sorry to hear that you have trouble seeing a "light" after powering on this laptop; however, based on "my" experiences, I want you to know that you are not alone! There is, in fact, a "lighted" power button--if the laptop's A/C power cord is plugged into the laptop! You can see that light when the laptop is powered on and the A/C power cord is plugged in and it is located just in front of where you plug in this laptop's A/C power cord. When the laptop is not "fully" charged that light will be "orange" in color; however, when the laptop's battery is "fully" charged the light will be a bright white light. I am sorry that a previous answer given was incorrect. This happens to be probably the only criticism I have of this laptop and other HP laptops that I've owned--the "power on" light is not positioned on top of the base of this laptop's chassis, but it may "also" be a good thing as the light is less likely to serve as a visual distraction while one is engaging in computer related activity with this laptop or some other HP laptops.
