If it were you could do what you want to. Better to take the audio output of your TV to the input of your sound bar.

A:AnswerI have used mine with a 50 Foot cable across the living room to view what is on my computer screen on the TV. I don't see how the length of the cable should make a difference. Perhaps the problem is another factor in your setup and not the length of the cable.
