- Answer Yes, you can see if a device is on or off in the app. However, I think the freezer might have too big of a power draw to use with this plug.

QuestionIs this safe for a 3 way light switch/bulb?

- Answer It is completely safe, but remember the three way switches can turn the Apple Switch on or off. The Apple Switch has to have power to itself to turn other switched things on or off. The Apple Switch can not turn items plugged into it on, if it doesn't have power to the Apple Switch itself from the three way switches.

- Answer To answer your question, look at the label on each device and add up the Amps listed on each device label. If it is less than 15 Amps you are good to go. You might leave a little room to spare from the limit of 15 Amps, but that is how you can calculate the total Amps used by the devices you are controlling.

- Answer This smart plug should work with your 2nd gen device through the Alexa app. Just make sure you have the latest version of the Alexa app downloaded.

- Answer Yes. Make sure that you are using all three connectors. Do not try to connect it to an adapter that has two on the other end. You need that ground connection.
