Lindy transmit distance depends on many factors that are quite complicated. Primarily distance and the environment between where you install the AE and when the clients will reside that communicate back to the AE. If you have normal home construction with wood stud walls and sheet rock and little to no interference you should expect the AE to cover about 50 Meters or 150 feet. Any variation to the construction or interference will reduce the speed of the connection. The AE will support any computer that adheres to the 802.11AC or previous standards for either 2.4Ghz or 5.7Ghz wireless bands. Check the computer and if it has a wireless card it will indicate what 802.11 standard it supports. (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) are all supported by the AE. I have never had an issue returning items to Bestbuy within the allotted timeframe by the return policy. It is shorter for electronics so be sure to check and make sure you have time to install and test.
